#1 Posted: 5/24/2011 11:52:05 AM and are shut down by the feds and I dont see anywhere that covers has been able to provide any info on them on how to contact them. I see they have been able to provide info for bookmaker though. So that tells me they are pretty much saying that beted is dead and people who had money in there accts can kiss it goodbye. |

We are saying that betEd got their domain hijacked by the Feds and haven't gotten back online yet.
We are working on getting more information, but it hasn't even been 16 hours yet and they understandably have more important things on their minds than responding to your hysterics.

I joined BetED primarily on the recommendation of this site and
Lou in particular in one of the threads. I'm sure I am not alone in
that regard.
The fact Covers appears to be distancing itself from BetED and
immediately removed them from their recommended list is troubling to say
the least.
I think regular updates on the status of BetED by Covers should be
mandatory at this point, even if there is nothing new to report. At
least state what has been done and what is planned for the future in
terms of gathering information, attempting to get in touch with contacts
within BetED, etc.
Stating that BetED has better things to do than respond to "our hysterics" is a slap in the face. Really? What is Covers doing in an attempt to gather more information? Who have you gotten in touch with? Who haven't you gotten in touch with? Why is nobody answering your calls or replying to your emails? When can we expect an update?
Because you folks recommended them number one, your reputation is solidly on the line. Instead of insulting posters legitimately concerned that they have been lied to and stolen from by your number one rated book, why don't you state what is being done on your end to gather pertinent information for your clients.

I would hardly say that it's wrong to suggest somebody is jumping to conclusions when less than 16 hours after a problem was noted, they start making statements such as...
"So that tells me they are pretty much saying that beted is dead and people who had money in there accts can kiss it goodbye."
I would describe statements like that as being hysterical.

It got removed from the link at the top of the page but to the side of the covers home page it has them listed as 4,,,

I am well aware of Lou's pinned and locked topic. It has not been updated since 5/23/2011 10:24:54 PM which hardly qualifies as being "regularly updated".
I realize that you folks will update us if and when there is anything to report and there is nothing that we can do to force you to provide that info any quicker. In the meantime, though, you should expect folks to want and request legitimate and timely updates, and perhaps, insulting those folks for having concerns is not the correct approach? But please, do whatever you feel it is that you need to do.
