#1 Posted: 8/5/2012 7:35:57 PM Spring Break 2013? I am a teacher so I get off a week at that time, so that answers that question before it is asked. I have visited Vegas twice and want to see what Reno is like but know nothing about it. Can anyone tell me some stories or even where to go and not to go. Thank you |

#7 Posted: 8/26/2012 10:31:22 PM I stayed 5 days at the Peppermill...pretty nice joint but the neon lights are freaking nuts, it's like a scene out of Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas or something. |

What he said. ^^
If you're into skiiing or snowboarding, Tahoe makes it worth it. Otherwise I'm not sure Reno would be worth the trip. |

#11 Posted: 9/28/2012 11:26:18 AM It is true, Reno can look like a ghost town on a weekday. But if you don't like crowds and enjoy cheaper prices, Reno is the place to go. I got a slot card at Silver Legacy, only played for a short time and they have been sending me emails for a free room. The customer service at SL is top notch. True, Vegas has a lot more glitz, but if you just want to gamble and ski, Reno offers value. Plus the summer tempatures are much more bareable in Reno, with highs around 90, not the 110 you get in Vegas. |

#12 Posted: 1/18/2013 7:53:23 PM Thank you to all who have replied. I think I will definitely make it there before 2015. I think I will still do Vegas, because that is a for sure thing! |
