7:15 EST - North Carolina ML (-135)
The oddsmakers are not hiding anything with this line. The last time these teams met, there's no question that North Carolina was the better team. The only reason Duke won was because they outscored the Tar Heals 42 to 3 from beyond the arc. The Tar Heals are number 3 in the country in my power rankings. They play the most disciplined defense in the country. They're ranked #1 in opponent free throw rate, #1 in overall rebounding and #20 in effective field goal percentage. Since losing to Duke, they've been absolutely unstoppable winning by an average margin of 11 points per game in conference play. This is the best team in the ACC and they will go into Cameron and dominate. Defense wins championships gentlemen, and there's not many teams better than the Tar Heals. If North Carolina can close the gap on three pointers by even a few baskets, they'll win this game by double digits. |
