Oh well I'm sure Quick would rather have the Cup and a ring over the Vezina lol |

If this is true then how do you justify it based on the following Regular Season stats:
Games Played Quick - 69 Hank - 62
GAA Quick - 1.95 Hank - 1.97
Save % Quick - .929 Hank - .930
Shutouts Quick - 10 Hank - 8
Wins Quick - 35 Hank - 39
Not disagreeing that Hank deserved it, but not sure he deserved it more than Quick (based on reg. season numbers). Both were equal IMO (although stats show otherwise) and it could have gone either way. However, LA's offense was atrocious for more than half the season so Quick had no goal support and still got 35 wins on a team that average 2.29 GPG (2nd worst in the league while NYR averaged 2.71 GPG (11th best in the league). |

#7 Posted: 6/21/2012 12:31:15 PM Rangers were a number 1 seed. LA wasn't even a cinch to make the playoffs. I'd be surprised if that didn't factor in (even though it shouldn't). It's not a travesty, but I do think Quick should have won. Baseball actually got it right with King Felix winning the Cy Young a couple of years ago despite an average won-loss record. Doesn't happen very often though. |

1. terrific regular season (1st-place finish)
2. strong pedigree/resume
3. tough place to play
4. consistency: 6 str yrs 35+ Ws...
IMO hank is a deserving winner...

#10 Posted: 6/21/2012 1:59:43 PM It was a tossup, but where Quick got the cup they could give it to King with a bit more ease. |

Uh.... REALLY? BOTH had great regular seasons BUT I can make an argument that Quick was more important to the Kings than Lundqvist to the Rangers because for most of the regular season the Kings couldn't SCORE.
hard to argue with either one, thought and I'm sure "Johannas Schnell" will take his Stanley Cup ring and Conn Smythe trophy as "consolation prizes" |

#13 Posted: 6/21/2012 6:21:22 PM King had this locked up at the end of the season. Quit whining, besides the Hawks goalie(s) didn't do garbage this year so you should really be crying about your own team. Love all the Kings bandwagoners. Trust me Quick is happy with the Cup so get over it. |

What does the fact that he won the cup have to do with anything. So you should be satisfied that you missed out on an award because you were compensated by winning a championship.
So if the Tigers had won the World Series last year and Verlander didn't win the Cy Young, he should be OK with it cuz they were champs?
You just gotta love Covers logic. |
