May worst experience was winning $40k in Sports and Blackjack over a 2 month period of time and then losing it all in a drunken stuper in about 1 hour on a High Limit Blackjack table at the New York New York Casino in Vegas...........Waitress was dedicated to me and feeding me alcohol like it was water in the Sahara......I went spiraled slowly downward with my initial $20k and then was pissed.....Not only "pissed" but DRUNK and pissed........A VERY bad combination....So I went back up into my room and got my other $20k walked right up to the table and played 2 hands of Blackjack.......I was dealt the same hands on both spots.....An 8 and a 6 (14) on both hands.....Dealer had a Queen showing.......Unfortunately for me I had laid down the cash and said "Money Plays" instead of getting chips....If I would have had chips I could have surrendered and at least salvaged half my bet.....Soooo,,,,I took a hit and busted on both hands......Dealer turned over a 6....If I would have not taken a hit I would have won (my original bet plus $20k).......After that I quit for about 1 year.

Moral of the story.......There are people that have quit gambling for life....Good for them.....The majority of us can't because the overwhelming desire to supplement income or feel the rush.......Truth be told "Drugs" arn't the worst plague on modern society,,,,Gambling is because it can threaten the very livelihood of entire families.....Not just an individual......You have to have some pretty strong resolve to avoid gambling once you've been sucked in.....If you can't avoid it,,,,,then simply DO NOT bet to cover your losses.....Wait for the 'gimmies' which come around about once a week or so....Then just bet a 1 or 2 unit play on it.

Gambling is a never ending, slow (or fast) downward spiral.....Those that play all of thier lives without stumbling simply have the income to support the habit. Hard work and patience is where it's at.
