#28 Posted: 7/18/2012 4:03:57 PM Kick this one around guys. The Dodgers, apparently to commemorate the 1988 World Series home run, are having a Kirk Gibson bobble-head night July 31 when they host the Diamondbacks. Sounds like a nice gesture doesn't it? The thought occurs to me: What if Kirk Gibson is no longer managing the Diamondbacks on July 31st? Do they invite him as special guest for the event or junk the bobble-heads? This is baseball and my frank opinion is the Diamondbacks are too cheap to fire him and pay off his contract, but he was not a Kevin Towers hire in the first place and may take the fall for the current slump, which could get worse before it gets better. FFT.

5 & 9 Inning POD Angels -108, -105 (Wilson / Fister)
Why not take the better
starter and better, more productive offense at a near even price?
9 Inning Plays
Mets +159 (Young / Zimmerman)
This line is simply way too
high for true probability but the public is in love with the Nats and this is
what the books have to offer to balance the action.
Diamondbacks-Reds Under 8, -115 (Kennedy / Latos)
Notice the juice finally
going to the right side of these totals? The sharps must be reading my garbage
now. Anyway, both chuckers are shutout capable and the D-backs offense stinks.
The only thing the Reds offense has going for it is that they stink slightly
less.
Giants-Braves Over 8.5, +102 (Vogelsong / Minor)
This pick might not be possible
if the Giants had not kicked some butt last night, but they did, which inspires
the Braves, and they have a very high probability matchup offense if Mr. Vogelsong
is ever to suffer a tough night. If they do, there is no doubt in my mind the
Giants can make Mike Minor’s life miserable, at least in this one instance.
BOL
All plays are a flat 100
units. Lines are current at Best Available American Online Book as I post
5 Inning YTD: 57-72-14, -1055 9 Inning YTD: 109-97, +2,592 NET. +1,537
(+4.6% RoR)

#33 Posted: 7/18/2012 5:05:55 PM Angels line is way off,, I'm on them huge,,, The Mets line is off also, and I'm on them. I think the under 4 is a good play too in that game,,,, Two big first half plays for me tonight,,, I really like these .

Thornburg will have to pitch at least 6 innings, if he doesn't you have to deal with the bullpen which we all know has been a disaster this season. BOL on the rest of them on the Cards in this one.
Nice cash on the Brewers! Be the first one to admit I saw this baby wrong and you called it, Cards can't hit to save their lives right now. Nice win my man good luck on that Phills game on the same side with you in that one. BOL |

#36 Posted: 7/18/2012 5:24:07 PM I don't think Angels or Braves/Giants Over possibly hold any value. Why are you playing the Angels and the Under on Braves/Giants if you don't mind sharing? |

#39 Posted: 7/18/2012 6:00:20 PM Donnie - A player can make a case for anything under the sun if he wants to, but I try to stick with what I know. Wilson-Fister I suppose is arguable but I have Wilson in better form. Offenses could be argued but over their last 15 versus righty the Angels have a median run production of 7.17 per 9 while the Tigers versus lefty comes in at 4.72. Braves vs righty scores a 35.2 rating and 7.96 per 9, versus NL medians of 31.8, 4.2, so if any offense can score versus Vogelsong they should be able to. The Giants scoring versus Minor should not even be a question. This garbage I do is science and fact, not bullshit and guesswork.
