Marshall-24 and here is why. Marshall has their loaded offense back that averaged 42 points a game last year. Their defense was OK, giving up 22 points a game but they are playing a pitiful Miami of Ohio game that could only score an average of 11 points a game against 8 MAC opponents last year and Marshall is way better on defense than most teams in the MAC. Marshall needs to pound everybody they play if they want to play in a prestigious bowl.

loved Marshall at first then backed away...they could win by 60 or win by 14.  to much potential variability for a team that for whatever reason does not play well on the road.   I think that for those who like Marshall, it is a counter intuitive play,   Holiday will tell his team, if you want to go to major bowl, you have to exceed expectations on the road...period...its a no play for me, but I have this feeling that the Marshall backers may cash in in week 1 due to the rationale that I outlined above.   Holiday will call out their manhood, and they will prep in camp to come out and beat the living crap out of the green Miami team with new coaches and systems...

Marshall was awful on the road in comparison to at home last year. Granted it is a new season but for a mid major conference matchup first week of the season Im taking the points. GLTA

i like marshall.. i can't see Miami (OH) being able to slow them down at all.. style points are even more important now with people selecting teams for the college playoffs.. I don't expect marshall to let up when up by 35..
