Is anyone surprised by this hoax story? This is ND football at its finest.  They were made aware of this story several weeks ago but did not come forward until the deadspin article today to defend their star. Yet, the southbend paper published several articles propping up the star lb to help gain a heisman push.  

Correct me if I am wrong, but this is the same school that did not investigate a sexual assault until about 2 weeks after she committed suicide?!?! Oh yeah, that football player was found to not be responsible and continued to play football as if nothing ever happened.  Glad that guy lost in the national championship game.  Anyone who supports this program and what it stands for needs to seriously evaluate their thought process.

When the dude speaking for ND started crying because Ta'o was a trusting man and it will be hard for him to ever trust again, i had to turn the channel. You would have thought he was bumping uglys in the ND showers with Ta'o.

Maybe they will find the other people and the truth will really come out.

  i think Ta'o needs psychological testing.

For being a Catholic school they sure do love their football!  I mean cmon now . . . anyone who knew this guy had to have known he did not have a girlfriend and that there never was one.  School officials once again coming to the rescue of their star athlete.  The most shocking part is that he is still trying to claim he was the duped party when it seems apparent that he played a role and took part in the entire facade.

No worries, I did "turn the channel" in my early years!  I only mentioned one sexual assault case but if my memory serves correct there were two that took place during a short time period.  I am not sure who the players were but rumor has it that Prince Shembo was involved.
