Denis...
I hear what you're saying about the White House. The only reason I was dissapointed he didn't go was that it was a team event and the team had specifically asked him to go (a few times from what I heard). I think you do it for the team. As far as Timmy...I love the guy. Without him...we don't have the Cup last season. But he has value now and will have less value going forth. Why not get something for him that they need since Cam Neely has already stated publicly that they believe Rask is a championship calibar goalie.

To those who think Braden Holtby is the man of the hour or Dale Hunter is a great coach you're all wrong. Holtby nor Hunter's system beat the Bruins, last year's playoffs did them in. They played 25 post season games, including a grinding 7 game final that forced them to travel 23,000 miles. A brutal playoff run like that was bound to catch up to them, both physically and mentally. I'm not the least surprised that the Bruins and Canucks went out in the first round. However the Bruins are far from done, they are still in their prime with some good prospects about to enter the lineup. Barring any serious injuries, this team is going to win another Cup before a rebuild. The B's will be back in Cup contention Boo sooner than later.

I pretty much agree. They didn't have that jump that we saw last year on a consistent basis. Just spurts. Hopefully the loss will leave a bitter taste in their mouths and they will come back very hungry again. Their core is still nice and young.
