20/20 hindsight RULES!

You know who questioned the pick at the time?  Nobody.

Mel Kiper called Russell the best QB prospect since John Elway.

The one thing they'll never be able to measure at the draft combine is heart.

Terrible again. Leinart looked the best by far but took a big hit and left early. Pryor cant even get a 1st down. That guy is awful.

I just don't understand this Pryor project. He is not an NFL QB. He has no vision and no accuracy. He is simply a slender JaMarcus Russell.

Without the arm strength of JaMarcus but faster obviously.

Anybody who watched the the SEC for the 2 years Russell QB'ed that LSU team could have told you how bad that guy was going to be. LSU won a national championship in spite of his poor play not because of him. In 13 career games vs. teams with a winning record in college, he threw more INTs than TDs. The coaching staff had to dummy down the playbook because he didn't have the intelligence to grasp it.  The writing was all over the wall. You just had to read it. Mel Kiper must be illiterate. Rumor has it that Jamarcus is too.
