Back in the 70's and 80's it was Australia vs West Indies in cricket. Great battles back in the day.

Real rivalries?? You mean when hooliganism is an integral part of the event. When the game means more than life itself to these get-a-life soccer fans who bus and train to games raping and pillaging there and back? I suppose you are right then.

Hey, life and death games Dunno. The way Indians use to play Lacrosse.
PSM- If you are going for countries, you left off England vs. Tina and Brazil vs. Tina. There is some good ole fashioned hate |

#46 Posted: 5/18/2009 6:55:11 PM yanks red sox? it's a great one. but it's not even close to being the biggest in sports. they play eachother so many times a year.
i went to the 1st ever yanks vs. red sox game in the new yankee stadium
a rain delay caused the stadium to be 'cricket cricket' empty
lol. yeah that would happen at some of these other rivalries mentioned!! especially the soccer ones and college football ones. pfft. this is coming from someone whose favorite sport is baseball. |
