#1 Posted: 11/26/2011 11:44:04 PM If LSU wins against Georgia next week...and then loses to Alabama in the BCS Championship game could they still be ranked #1 overall??
IMO they would due to overall resume of work and the fact that they would both have one loss,,,to each other...which makes this game kind of pointless...
Thoughts? |

#2 Posted: 11/26/2011 11:46:20 PM I was thinking that too. Even if LSU loses to Alabama , LSU overall body of work is much better than alabama's would be. |

You are correct the coaches are contractual binded to vote the winner of the BCS title game #1. The AP broke away from the BCS and are not entitled to vote the winner of the BCS game #1. I think we see them give a split if Alabama wins a close game against LSU....I really do. |

#6 Posted: 11/27/2011 12:19:20 AM This is the very reason why I think a re-match is pointless. We have already decided who the best SEC team is. (or we will Sat. :) )That's why I would rather see LSU play Houston or even Okla. St if they beat Oklahoma. If LSU wins the re-match, everyone will say yeah we already knew that. If Alabama wins, everyone will say OK they are even with one victory each. |

That is correct. Even if it wasn't the rule I'm sure Bama would still be voted champion. In 1996 Florida St beat Florida in the last game of the season. They had a rematch in the Sugar Bowl a month later and Florida won. Florida was voted national champs. |

um lsu might win the ap poll if that happens, but BCS CHAMPION WOULD BE ALABAMA. and really any futures bets at the casinos only take the bcs champion on those bets. let me know if you ever found a bookie that lets you take bets on who the AP champ will be lol |

why would you rather watch lsu play okie st or houston, than alabama? lsu vs alabama when they played last month was the game of the century so far this decade 1 vs 2 game goes to ot 9-6 defensive game, that was the best game in college football all season
why would you rather watch lsu play oklahoma st or houston? LSU WOULD BEAT EITHER OF THOSE TEAMS BY 30+ easily, man houston i doubt would get 7 pts on lsu lol, did you see who houston played this season? they barely had 2 tds through 3 quarters on tulsa the other day lol |

your a dumbass go watch hockey, you dont even know how college football works, you ask a stupid question, bcs champion game winner is bcs champion end of story. you think lsu still an win the bcs even if they lose the bcs game lol. THATS CALLED THE AP POLL. maybe if you get espn in canaduh someday, you can learn this and not ask stupid questions. go watch tsn and jackoff to hockey, tsn doesnt show garbage for college football, they dont even put on college game day live every day |

dude! seriously... what does it smell like inside the colon of the SEC? that's gotta be some rancid stench up in there... might want to pull you head on out of that behind...
i've seen some friggin ignorant blind-behind SEC worshippers before, but you take the cake! God what i wouldn't give to be able to go head to head with you every week on about 7 or 8 games... i would rape your behind so bad... people whose perspective is that far out of whack are easy pickins'...
gonna be fun to watch your bowl plays...

i love the smell of the sec, it smells of money, if you dont like it go watch the big east, or pac 12, or big 10, or acc donkey schools. and then you got big 12 who is a 2nd tier league. no one matches with sec. if we had an 8 or 16 team playoff, everyone would complain how their would be atleast 2 sec teams in the final 4 every year. its just that good a conference, if your not from the south you dont understand. go watch those other conferences, they all suck in comparison. this is not college basketball where there is huge parity, the big boys in football are still way above the other schools.
you guys are hillarious taht think houston cause are 12-0 should be in the title game. if you gave fuckin vandy or south carolina, georgia etc that schedule they would all be 12-0
WTF DOES OKIE ST DESERVE A CHANCE IF THEY BEAT OKLAHOMA? THEY LOST BY 28 PTS TO IOWA ST. WHEN DID ALABAMA OR ARKANSAS OR VIRGINIA TECH OR STANFORD OR BOISE ST LOSE AS 28PT FAVORITES AGAIN????? OH YA THEY DIDNT |

#23 Posted: 11/27/2011 9:15:58 AM If LSU loses then no way do they end up #1 in any polls- unless they lose on a hail mary at the end of the game by 1 point and it was a game they dominated statistically- even then i can't see them as #1. The winner of the game will be #1. Saying that i think LSU wins again. |
