#1 Posted: 1/11/2010 4:44:25 PM This works for an online account. Basically if you like a side, just make it a parlay with a total that has a 1/2 point on it.
For example if you like Louisville -3 tonight and you were planning on betting $110 on Louisville to win $100. Find any game with a total that has a 1/2 point on it. Bet $50 parlay on Louisville/Under and another $50 on Louisville/Over. You are guaranteed not to push on the total as long as you select a game with a 1/2 point on the total.
If Louisville covers the spread, you will win one of your bets at 2.6:1 paying out $180. You will lose the other $50.
Instead of wagering $110 to win $100, you have instead wagered $100 to win $130.
Take that online books! |

Losing parlay loses $50
You win $80
You risk 100 to win 80 |

#8 Posted: 1/11/2010 4:55:04 PM Just trying to help you out, but if you can't figure out what a parlay payoff is, this is probably too confusing for you anyway. |

That $50 is not profit.. It was already yours so you make $80... If you have been doing this for year you have been cheating yourself out of a lot of money.. |

#11 Posted: 1/11/2010 5:00:56 PM Let me dumb this down for you all.
$10 Parlay Louisville & Under
$10 Parlay Louisville & Over
Risking $20 to Win $26 vs. Risking $20 to Win $18 on straight wager. |

#12 Posted: 1/11/2010 5:02:36 PM I can't believe if you people can't understand this, you must have problems counting how many units you are down. Are all of you fools above ready to eat your words yet, or still getting your calculators out yet. |

#13 Posted: 1/11/2010 5:03:38 PM You sir.....are a moron. Maxx is right.
You profit 130 on the one bet and then lose the 50 on the other bet. 130-50 = 80 thus 100 to win 80 = losing 11 cents for every dollar. |

#21 Posted: 1/11/2010 5:13:16 PM risking $20 to win $26, right...but you dont get all 46 back in your account because you lost $10 in the process. You have $36 in your account.
Risking $20 straight up to win $18.18, you now have $38.18 in the account. Help me where my thought process is off...
