Armchair toughs.
I love the concept of let's sacrifice lots of US lives for something that cannot be won.
You do know that Collin Powell specifically warned that, like Vietnam, Iraq was unwinnable.
Obama's foreign policy is an abject failure. Leaving Iraq isn't part of it. Only those that are smart enough to think for themselves don't understand the distinction.

It looks like Colin Powell has warned us about a lot of things ..It was Colin Powell who warned us and presented evidence to the world ,,of the existence of weapons of mass destruction in Iraq..
..and it should be noted and not forgotten, that the entire national security team of the former Clinton administration...including the Secretary of State, the Secretary of Defense, and the Director of Central Intelligence along with Hillary's husband supported George W. Bush when he sent American troops into Iraq in March 2003.

Apparently, you have little understanding of the term "winnable."
We did win in that we removed Saddam. What was the next step? Have Iraq as a state? A forever presence? Do we ever leave? What happens when we scale down (we already know the answer).
People like you have little concern for the lives of our young men and women. Sad really.

I'll tell you what would really be PRICELESS TheGoldenOne ..that is if you post a citation verifying your first two sentences..
GHW Bush's decision to stop the war without removing Saddam Hussein was because Bush 41 did not want the war to exceed the U.N.'s mandate and the authorization of the Security Council ..
In fact,, Bush's National Security Advisor at the time advised that eliminating Saddam would up-set the balance of power in the region..
So ,if you have facts to the contrary post them ..and we'll see..who these Bush advisors were..

Actually, this is 100% accurate.
Bush I (through his team) knew that the removal of SH would cause the problems we are seeing now.
