This feels surreal. I hope this is the beginning of a movement. Could it be? Could it finally be that republicans are starting to take the party back from the extremists that hijacked it in the 60s?
Real republicans have to start kicking out Theo-fascist RINOS. I’m sick of democrats by default. I hope I get to proudly call myself a republican in my lifetime…---~~~ hope

i doubt it. i think there are just a few republicans who have some notion of not needing to waste taxpayer money with every decision they make. but i'll check and see if maybe there is a billion dollar handout to the sugar industry or something somewhere to offset this uncharacteristic episode of republican fiscal responsibility.

I doubt it, as well… Club, but I think this a HUGE step in the right direction, though… I went from having zero hope… to a tiny bit of hope… I don’t expect to see any real improvement for another 30 years, if any, if this is a real movement…
There is a fight a’ brewin, though. I expect a showdown between Theo-fascist republicans and libertarian republicans in the near future… Obama has tarnished the democratic brand. It’s the weakest it’s been in 50 years… Rand Paul will not be the guy to knock off the democrat stranglehold…
I will say, though, that the Tea Party, Ron Paul, Rand Paul, Gary Johnson and John Stossel have sparked a republican movement… I wouldn’t be surprised if we see an unknown politician arise from this… what’s next… republicans jump on the immigration reform and the g@y marriage band wagon next…

Change takes time...the seeds are already planted and are growing.
Obama's FP speech the other day was essentially a direct rebuttal to Rand Paul and the almost 50% of Americans who identify with his world/foreign policy view. That right there is evidence of change. Consider where the FP debate was at 10 yrs ago, and you will see what I mean.
As the GOP continues to lose national elections, they will slowly, and begrudgingly (for some) change, survival always wins out.
A generation from now (yes, it will probably take that long), the GOP will be considerably different.
