I will say this though there are very few people/organizations/entities trying to 'grab' guns...
You can whine all you'd like about your 'assault weapon gun-grabbers' .... Point is the argument has never been about 'assault weapons' or at least the intellectual who understand the debate know that the debate has always been about semi-automatic hand guns..
Nevertheless, to back track just a bit, the 'gun debate' is not even in the top 20th of importance to policy makers, or at least it shouldn't be...
But I digress, if revolvers, single actions, bolt action, pump action firearms were the only guns on the market gun violence would be drastically lower...
This incident is just one of the many with police exercising a lack of control, proficiency, carelessness, unprofessionalism, and unintelligent acts with a firearm....

Shoot me some proof then. I have been working with these stats for weeks for a project. Maybe you have different stats than me. I have over 80% of murders are one victim. Which would not be affected by magazine size or nomenclature.

Gun debate is very, very simple....if the government can carry or use a certain type of gun then the home owner should be able to carry/use te same weapon. Simple.... This is a simple concept......so the government can't take over....which it is trying to do now.

Kind of weird that correlations are being drawn between 2.3 and 3.7.
I will run some independent tests, but it does show that there is a small correlation. The P=.01 shows that there is a correlation, but don't you think that if this was valid they should test for significance when shots fired were over 6. that would skew the data quite significantly.
Also even though the T-Test was run for unequal variances, the amount of shots fired by semi auto pistols, is almost 3 times the pool of revolver numbers. That leaves significant room for outliers, and when you only have a disparity of 1-1.5 (under the full capacity of a revolver) I think that this is a completely spurious correlation.
It could easily be shrugged off as the prohibitive price of a nicer semi auto, restricts poor shooters from buying them. Revolvers being cheap, may be more appealing to poor shooters. Maybe the conservation of rounds is economic. maybe the poor shooter sees more value in saving rounds.
Either way. Thanks for providing the data, I will bring it to my group meeting tomorrow night, and see what some other brains think about it.

Yeah there are a lot of interesting dynamics with regards to their data and calculations.
Something that makes a lot of practical sense was that they said a lot of the guns that were used in crimes, while they were semi-auto pistols they were very inexpensive, and poorly made guns that sometimes only had a 6 or 7 round clip so......? Like those cheap kel-tecs
