So I've been reading a lot of opinion pieces that either lambaste or promote a stock but am surprised that no matter how flattering or denigrating the writer may be, they often say they have no position on the shares.

The article which prompted this post was this tidbit I read at my boring behind job. He recommends a sell early price of $72. Personally, I bought at $48 and its trading around $55 today. But if this schmuck thought it was going up to $72, why wouldnt he own it?!?!?!?!

Makes no sense to me. And Im thinking that all these opinion pieces are just hot air meant to drum up ad revenue for their websites. The best you can do is anticipate where the market is heading yourself and do your own due diligence.

Dont even get me started on the garbage on fool.com
