#16 Posted: 6/5/2011 10:47:53 PM SciFi - Doctor Who. the "original four" Doctors from 1963 thru 1981 were the best of this classic British series shown in the US by PBS. the new one which started in 2005 on BBC America is OK BUT not nearly as innovative in villans and plot line. honerable mention - The Outer Limits. the 1963 thru 1965 version (NOT so much the 1995 thru 2002 on SciFi)
Comedy - All In the Family. THE show that changed situation comedy forever and spunoff numerous other shows with characters from the original. honorable mentions - The Honeymooners, Sanford and Son, The Carol Burnett Show and The Jackie Gleason show
Crime Drama - Law & Order. honerable mention The Sopranos
