Its easy to say that when you have your money on the same side as refs.
I hate this sort of thing but really you cant be sitting at home thinking year Storm were the bet coz they have scored more points that are real points |

#10 Posted: 3/25/2012 1:03:16 AM Dodgy garbage will always be around when there's serious money involved but the Chooks were 12.5 dogs for a reason. Warriors are the only team I'd have complete faith in to give the Storm a run at Etihad...

#11 Posted: 3/25/2012 1:21:30 AM i dont know about the referees, but the teams are very very inconsistent. how can a team favorited by 12 points lose by 20 ?
over/under is very very difficult. this is the most difficult game to cap. u will always get better odds in live and at half time |

#12 Posted: 3/25/2012 2:06:19 AM Let's see.....best team in the comp by a foot and a mile is 12.5-point favorites and at home where they are virtually invincible versus an inconsistent side with ball-handling issues and a tepid attack.......
..............and covers the 12.5.
What's all this about again?

Cheating or no cheating, what I said above isn't odd.

#13 Posted: 3/25/2012 2:26:52 AM Lets see......
Storm player runs a decoy hit the opposing defender, impedes him, impacting the defender close to the try line...."Video ref "lets see, i have the storm to cover, i know it should be a try, but when i saw the odds flashed every 5 minutes when i was watching the footy show, it was too tempting to resist, try".
Perret gets the ball, you cannot confirm if it was a try or not, there is benefit of the doubt , Video ref "well, if i award this, the Roosters could get a leg up, i cant let that happen, i may lose my bet. Yeah, lets not award this, this will really deflate the Roosters".No try........
Players bet on games, refs bet on games, players friends, refs and families bet on games........END OF STORY |

Its about getting on the right side of the fix.....
The funny thing is, look at Tim Donaghy......He got caught by chance.......The NBA's internal protocols couldnt detect his corrupt behaviour for years......
If the NBA's protocols couldnt catch Donaghy, the NRL with there 2 man band of John Brady have darn all chance in picking up anything the NRL refs can do...... |

OK, so it's 16-4, or 16-6 with a very good conversion, going into the sheds at the Half.
Roosters would win it then?

OK, take away that Storm try on the possible obstruction.
So that would have swung the game around?
If it is fixed, it's gonna be fixed on a close match with two teams who are competitive. Not on a match that is going to be a blowout from the very beginning and everyone knows it. What's there to bloody fix?
The refs could have given the Roosters 8 tackles all night long and the Storm would have still won.
But let's forget about that......what have you seen in the past rounds that would make you think the Roosters were the play? What have you seen that would make you think the Storm would garbage the bed?
Seeing the books open with the hook on the 12 rang bells that they were baiting for Chook money.
C'mon Rostos, there is shady shi tin this league, but tonight wasn't one of them. Dodgy calls or not, the Roosters were not competitive enough tonight to stay within the number.

So if the Roosters would have been the right side of the fix, there would have had to been so many blatant, obvious, and repetitive calls against the Storm OVER AND OVER AND OVER in order to give the Roosters a shot at the win or the cover. And if this was done, it would have been very clear that a fix was taking place. Therefore, according to your theory, the Roosters were even more the wrong play tonight. Use your theory to your advantage. Would be much more easy to shade calls the Storm's way since everyone expect them to win, etc.
So why did you take the Roosters? There was no reason to, according to your fix theory.
I don't get it.

if that's the case you better start writing your record accordingly, ie "YTD: right side of the fix 10 wrong side of the fix 6" |

#25 Posted: 3/25/2012 4:20:38 AM If i bet on NBA games between 2002 and 2007, and during the games Donaghy officiated i did exactly what i did today and say these referees are cheating to satisfy there bets......What would you say?
You would all be saying the same thing you are telling me now?

Again, Donaghy was cheating and betting on a number of games......The NBA through the size of its organisation would have far more sophisticated intelligence and protocols compared to the NRL.......Yet, they never detected the behaviour of its referee. IT was ONLY BY CHANCE AND LUCK the FBI who were investigating a mafia drug lord accidently came accross Donaghy.
Yet, i should have complete faith in Gallops organisation to detect corrupt refs when his organisation allows one of its clubs to blow up debts in excess of $35 mill.
I dont believe the NRL is corrupt because David Gallop said so.......
