#56 Posted: 8/13/2011 9:28:36 PM I'm not saying it will be a walk in the park either. I just prefer taking the in form sides agaisnt a side that has no chance of finals and not a lot of team cohesion. When they beat dragons they still had a chance, but not now, |

#58 Posted: 8/13/2011 9:59:16 PM Well have a play for the 2nd game,
Pick:
Chookies +18.5 5 units @ $1.80
Well this is high and the chooks are coming off a hiding and think they play a little better this week. Saints will be in a grind mood and will just want to post a win not worring about being flashy and scoring heaps of points. Gaz is out so maybe a small amount of favour towards the chooks their and just think they keep this game close with in margin 6-14 pts. They will be seeking revenge for the GF last year.

Yeah. Have gone against my beliefs and joined the masses on this one, although on the moneyline as opposed to the points. Can't argue against current form but I believe there is a decent chance this game gets decided within the spread. Would love a Bunnies blowout though...

This is a very key game. Bunnies have it all to play for and well the raiders season is over and from their last couple performnces u can tell that.

I have never trusted the bunnies... Doesn't matter if their playing for their lives... I hate the bunnies as faves... I would rather back the Scone Thoroughbreds in the Group 21 final...

It is the very fact that they are playing for their lives that makes them a fade. |

Bunnies -2.5 10 units @ $1.80
Well this looks like a great play to me. They have been good of late and took great amount of confidence after the win over saints and then smashed a poor eels team on MNF. The Bunnies are 9-11 Su and ATs for the year. The Raiders are 6-14 Su and 7-13-0 ATS. So they have been poor and especially of late. They have giving up points like they are going out of fashion and they come up against a hot team. MNF favs who win are 10-5 Su and 11-4-0 ATS the next week and so have made this a 10 unit play. Have not had one of these in a long time but just love the bunnies today.
Bunnies/Raiders over 42.5 5 units @ $1.90
Well i think this game will be high scoring really. Both teams have questions on D but can attack all ove the park. Bunnies are killing it down the side with big dave and GI and dont see any reason for that to change. The Bunnies are 11-9 on totals and raiders are 12-8 so that represents well for the over as well.
Thats all for the time. Not set on the other game just yet but will have more later on.
BOL
Thats a nice total... Sportingbet got it at 48...

Chookies
Well that was one hell of a game by my chookies and did have a little bit on them Su.
But for me one big question. Do Saints make the top 8? they have to tuff games in next 2 weeks and that would mean they will have to win their last game to make it.

But unlike the Bunnies, the Dogs have shown us darn all the last few weeks. An 8-7 win over the Eels, 28-32 defeat to the Chooks and 14-6 win over the Thurston-less Cowboys really doesn't say much. Once again it comes down to the attitude of the Sharks which if you take into account from recent performances isn't that good but therein lies the gamble. If we're to bet on this game, we're betting on the Sharks not giving a darn because they are capable of beating a team like the Dogs if they decide to play. Not a game I'd wager my last dollar on...
