Hey fellas,

I'm sure most of you guys know that bet365 no longer offer livebetting via the internet and require you to call up to make a bet (which is a fkin joke)

My question is are there any other books you guys use to get access to the livebetting facility? In particular i'm hoping they offer AFL games when they come around... i'm aware of paddypower and i believe they offer the odd AFL game or two. are there any other books out there?

thanks in advance

Nah just to punters in Australia. They applied for an Australian license and there is a shitty law in Aust that prohibits livebetting unless you call in which is an absolute nightmare...

Davenz, how did you get around this?

Ah ok for some reason I thought you lived in UK

Your answer starts with a p and ends with a y and there is a X in between

cheers Rod

what gave you the impression I was from the UK?

I'm an aussie

regarding your solution - wouldn't they just prevent all Australian accounts (with an Australian address) from betting live via the internet? Or are you just assuming they prevent it based on where you are logging in from?

Hey ecoute,

i'm trying to find a way around it at the moment and will let you know if the p x y solution works. hopefully davenz gets back to us and lets us know how he gets around it.

I got a mate who has a VPN set up so that his IP is a US one but i'm not sure if inplay betting is legal there as we were still required to telephone in bets. Furthermore i'm not sure if its because we have accounts set up with an aussie address...

massive headache cos the AFL season is not far away...

Thanks mate please do let me know. My concern is that if Bet365 discovers that you are trying to circumvent the laws that they could then close our account. A real garbage because a lot of people made a lot of money betting AFL in game

i will go with betfair now. i tried calling bet365 yesterday to make some bets and missed the odds i was after. it takes about 30seconds but nothing compares to betting online which takes 2 seconds...

Me & Rod (and I'm sure many others) have had this issue with centrebet as well with their recent change in mangement.

A NSW based online book that offers a good selection of live bets or 2H bets is betchoice  for nbl, Super Rugby etc. One could safely assume that they will offer the same for the major aussie footy codes like AFL & NRL when the season kicks off.
