#26 Posted: 12/21/2011 1:21:55 AM Upon further reshearch, I think La Tech has a chance to beat the spread. They beat defectors Fresno St & Nevada but lost to Hawaii.
No bet on the side, but still going with the over.
Wow, this is mind buggling with the conference realignment. Teams getting invite across the country. IT IS ALL ABOUT $$$$. Can you imagine USC going to SEC in the future?
GOOD LUCK TO ALL |

I'm
getting conflicting reports on Louisiana Techs' early second round NFL draft
pick Lennon Creer. One of my sources tells me he is out due to academics
and another source reports he has traveled to San Diego and will play.
Louisiana Tech has won 7 in a row albeit only 3 of those wins are worth talking
about (Utah State, San Jose State and Nevada none of which are as talented as the Horned Frogs); all the rest of those
wins were against scrap. TCU has one the meanest coaches in college
football and to go into Boise and win on the blue turf shows
me they are mentally tough AND that win trumps every win on Techs'
schedule. Creer is NOT the whole team;
however he is an integral part and will definitely be needed for Tech to keep
this game within the number. For a team that has won 7 in a row getting
just south of double digits points makes me think the Wise Men in Vegas are
begging for Tech dollars.
With all that said and in the absence of confirmation on Creer's status, I'm staying away from the spread. However, put me down for TCU on the
moneyline (-350) please. Thanks!

#36 Posted: 12/21/2011 3:17:55 PM I agree with you holtnt. The trap is the spread and taking ltech. Tcu knew they were screwed when they lost to smu back in october so i dont think they expected much better than what they got. They will take out any frustration on this team they might have...it might be 34-10 by half! TCU and OV for the large!!!! |

#38 Posted: 12/21/2011 3:20:03 PM Creer has been declared ineligible for the game because of academics (4 days ago). Louisiana Tech leading rusher Lennon Creer will not be eligible for
Wednesday's Poinsettia Bowl, according to Tech sports information
director Patrick Walsh.Creer didn't play
in Tech's last two victories over Nevada or New Mexico State, but Walsh
said Creer didn't become academically ineligible until after the
season-finale against New Mexico State. Walsh said Creer has not been practicing and will not make the trip to San Diego. Just based off that information, I'd lean TCU. Tank Carder should have enough in his "tank" to stop this offense and put pressure on this QB. Colby Cameron will keep it close 1st half, but TCU runs away with it 2nd.
TCU -9.5, Over 56.

#40 Posted: 12/21/2011 3:22:23 PM I still can't forget that la tech lost to hawaii. They haven't played a well balanced squad like tcu all year. Forget that they were close vs. houston who clearly showed they have no defense whatsoever. Tcu wins big here. |
