I will play #11 We Miss Artie to bounce back.
Not crazy about the post and that disaster in the FOY. I like the smart switch to Johnny V., and I think the colt's breeding suits the synthetic surface. This is too good of a horse to dismiss for the rest of the TC trail and I think this is a great spot for him to recover rather than dumping him in the FLA Derby or similar race.
Likely fave #4 Tamarando is a poly monster, but I think there is a difference in the CA track polys and this looser Turfway surface. I've seen few of the Californians do well with this type of move on synth and, more so, on a far distant track, let alone this bullring. I will take my chances and play against.
I also like in the mix #2 Asserting Bear, #5 Coastline based on his early Keeneland synth form; #10 Harry's Holiday to come flying at the end for Rosie; and #8 Solitary Ranger, if 'Frenchy' Geroux, a most capable rider, can keep him interested in the final 1/8th.
MY picks:
#11 We Miss Artie to win and place
$12 exacta: 11/2,5,8,10
$6 exacta: 2,5,8,10/11
$2 tri: 11/2,5,8,10/2,4,5,8,10

Hey At.......I hear you on your analysis of 4 and 11. Actually, I think the Spiral might be one big crap shoot with a lot of variables, so your pick makes a lot of sense...and at likely a nice price too!
Good luck!

OH MAN What a race that Spiral was....three horse photo!
Finishes 11-10-5
And, by the way. Why does Todd keep calling LaDuca "Paulie Man!" irritating.

Thanks....Artie got it on the bob, but any of the three could have won it. Looks like Stewart Elliot still has it!
