jay, I am not so sure about that. I think it has more so to do with what the photo is being used for(like this scam)

I remember reading a few years ago about a soldier who was killed in Iraq and some website was using his photo to promote their dating service or something like that.

Nice to see you back.

As stated previously, the site is for entertainment.

If you like it? Visit. If you don't? Don't visit.

Pretty simple.

Hope everyone had a great Saturday night! :)

Just one little problem, Sarah.

The manifesto, which you know quite well based on your foray(s) into the help section, doesn't allow posters to promote their private business.

<<2) Our forum will not be used as a place to do your personal business. Phone numbers, home addresses and email addresses that are found in any forum other then Web Site Promotions will be deleted. Your Covers space page is the place for self promotion.

If you are promoting a service in any forum other than Website Promotions, your account may be suspended or banned by our team of moderators.>>

From a technical perspective, one could interpret this to mean that
it is fine to discuss the matter only in the WP section, but one could also interpret this to mean that when the basis for promotion (such as suggesting that the host of the website has access to sharps and bookmakers) generates hits, the actual ACT of posting anywhere but the WP section is violating the manifesto.

I'm not looking to get into a back and forth about this. If you think there is something that I need to keep an eye on, then please PM me.

I'll check on my do's and do not's with the appropriate parties.

Thanks buddy.

Last I knew, the manifesto applied to all posters and it is pretty strictly enforced in the area of website promotion.

Any other poster promoting a website would recieve the same warning in the same way. Some might have actually gotten boxed or even banned based on the grey area. I'm really not the boxing or banning type, so I don't consider it an issue really, unless it was being done in a clearly problematic way (such as promoting in the mains).

Thank you........buddy.

I was being sincere with my request for you to PM me if you had a suggestion for me.

You've already told me I'm essentially not a "normal" member of Covers since I'm a writer for SDI when it pertained to boxing D-Bags in my threads in the help section. So you can't really go back and forth with one day I'm a "normal" member, and the next day I'm a writer for SDI. In one instance, the manifesto matters, and in another instance, it does not.

We can discuss this through PM if you'd like.

Thanks.

I have worked very hard for as long as I can remember. Instead of constantly badgering me, maybe you should be asking yourself, "Why didn't I work that hard at her age?"

Remove the college label from your head and think of me as someone who works 10Xs harder than you do.

I should have Covers change my caption from, "SJP is a college student . . ." to "SJP is the hardest working 20-some year old woman you'll meet in your lifetime."

If you want to make larger wagers, then work harder. Badgering me online shows that you don't take your time very seriously. Start by respecting your own time and success will follow.

Don't hate the playette, hate the game.

I have an associate that writes a little section in a school zine.  He contacted the Corvallis PD for a comment on the situation and they said "we are aware of the situation and looking into it further"

Not much but at least they are aware of it and going after it in SOME form.  I'll have to bookmark the local PD website and check for arrests every now and then.

nice to read the papers, come straight to the box after a few years, and get the real info.

I wouldn't be surprised that Real Sports w/Bryant Gumbel does an investigation on this for their show.
