#3 Posted: 5/3/2012 8:48:07 AM Mosley should catch this kid a few times. Canelo leaves himself wide open when he punches. I hope Mosley comes to fight. |

#4 Posted: 5/3/2012 11:33:27 AM Mosley is totally shot. I wouldn't bet him to KO Alvarez if he was 20-1.

#7 Posted: 5/3/2012 7:40:11 PM How else do you see him winning? By decision , he can't pull the trigger anymore (to quote Freddy Roach of De La Hoya), the younger fighter will be able to do as he wants with the old, washed-up Mosley. The kid is green but, he is a big strong fighter. Mosley hasn't looked great at 154, he beat De La Hoya (atleast the judges scored it that way, I thought Oscar gave him a boxing lesson), lost to Winky twice, beat washed-up, overweight Vargas twice, beat washed-up Mayorga, draw with Mora. He is 4-2-1 at 154, not his best weight. |

#8 Posted: 5/4/2012 12:43:21 AM This might be a good fight, reminds me of Cotto/Mosley, well except Mosley is at the end of his career, okay it ended!
One thing that makes this fight interesting is well Canelo has ZERO defense, which is why I expect an action packed fight for as long as it lasts.
Canelo needs a name on his resume, here he has it.
If Mosley wasn't shot as a fighter, Alvarez would never be fighting him.
Time to hang them up Shane, even if you look OKAY for half the fight... like Bernard... it's time to hang them UP:).
Canelo is no great fighter, in fact if Matthew Hatton yes Matthew Hatton had a punch he would have KO'd Alvarez, it's why guys are cherry picked now :)
Good luck, hope to see an action packed fight, until father time catches up with Mosley and he cannot sustain a young mans pace.

No way in the world would I make Canelo Alvarez as 9-1 Most he should be is -450 tops based on Mosley's past performances. Canelo too easy to hit to be laying 9-1.
Good luck to everyone!

I agree. I am looking at Canelo with hope as the future of Mexican boxing but I have to admit that his chin makes me nervous. I think he will be like that fraud Vargas ( east L.A. piece of garbage)
PEACE! |

Who has Canelo fought? Do not count Shane out, he's been in with the better competition and he can take a punch. I can't say the same about Alvarez.

#13 Posted: 5/5/2012 10:16:07 AM Just out of curiousity, did SSM lose the 1/2 pound he needed to after officially weighing in at 154.5 ?
I know he had an hour to do it, and he made it sound like it would be no problem in his post-weigh in interview with Max Kellerman.
Just wondering if anyone heard, and if by chance he didn't shed the weight, what are the financial ramifications? |

#14 Posted: 5/5/2012 6:56:31 PM MY 2 CENT's !!! MOSLEY WINS'S !!!! Fight is a GOLDEN BOY FIGHT which is DE LA HOYA's BRAND. Mosley and DE LA HOYA are BOY''S!!! Mosley would have never taken this fight if he along with OSCAR wasn't Pretty sure Mosley would win. Caneles Style play's into Mosley's Style. Shane should for sure win on Point's alone if not Knock Out Canelas at age 40 mosley still has good speed and will be able to score at will. take the +400 to the BANK!! |
