ok raiders, we'll mark you down for believing mine is a worse comparison because it's man and a woman while you like the ben carson comparison better because it's not a man and a woman but rather a man and animal in one case and a man and a male or female child in the other case. got it.
anyone else?
Again I don think the guy was comparing the three. I think he was simply saying none are normal. My point is there dont seem to be any adequate examples to compare even though humans want to compare things. So to me none work best.

I don't think it was a slip of the tongue at all- but I don't think his comment necessarily equates those preferences-
Rather- it is designed to blur the issue- to appeal to (as you noted in another post)- the type of voter that will be influenced by such a statement-
But I suppose that's just political maneuvering- because it's done by both parties on a number of issues-
That's exactly why I can't give him a free pass. He said those things with a clear intention in mind so he can't expect people to interpret them to his advantage.

Also a good point. You know certain questions are gonna get asked: be ready for them. Ask Palin how this can make you look. The Leftist media or SNL will make you look bad. He may be a nice and sincere man. But I don't think he is ready for politics. We want politically savvy people. We don't even want people to misspell potato, whether it is read off a misprinted cue card or not. We hate for people to forget how many states there are also. So, you know we don't like them to be undiplomatic about divisive issues for sure.

Actually, I believe he was ready and said what he wanted to say. There were plenty of examples of words being taken out of context but I don't think this is one of those. Obviously, it's much easier to blame the "leftist, liberal" media everything one of their said something stupid. The "right" is just as good in playing the victim card as the left.
