I think both are pretty much the same. I've spent nearly 10+ hours researching them, playing at the stores, reading reviews, etc., Its simply a matter of preference. Most common reason to lean one way or another are exclusives or the system that your friends play.
For me, exclusives are pointless. I don't play those fantasy games. FIFA, MADDEN, NCAA (Whoever gets the license), and Grand Theft Auto will be available for both systems. So that's a wash. Friends? I don't have many that play video games, and the ones that do, don't necessarily play the games I am likely to play.
From some sources, I heard the PS4 is more powerful and more capable of doing more. But by the slimmest of margins. Since I have had PS3, and haven't had no problems, I'm likely to stay loyal and get the PS4. I like the controller, the capability, the Blu-ray, and familiarity. I also dislike the camera in the XBOX. Makes me feel uneasy.
