Week 1 vs. UMASS: Win (1-0)
I'm expecting this game to be a total rub out come the fourth quarter. Can the offense come to play? Yes, at least here.
Florida 56 UMASS 7
Week 2 vs. Kentucky: Win (2-0)
Last year Kentucky had all the hopes in the world on ending Florida's streak at 28. Nope, it went to 29 with a 14-9 defensive win. Unfortunately for the Cats, the streak will become 30 because the Gators are at home. Not a totally close game on my book but not a blowout either.
Florida 28, Kentucky 10
Week 3 vs. North Texas: Win (3-0)
Gators are winners yet again.
Florida 62, North Texas 0
Week 4 @ Tennessee: Loss (3-1)
It's Tennessee's year this year. I got the Vols beating Florida to put the SEC East at stake. This game will be ultra close until the closing minutes, Tennessee scoring a TD early in the 4th quarter to wrap it up.
Tennessee 23, Florida 20
Week 5 @ Vanderbilt: Win (4-1)
Last year Florida squeaked by Vanderbilt with a 9-7 desperation defensive win. Despite this game being in Nashville, the improved Gator offense, led by Del Rio, should get it done this time. Close game until Florida seals it up with another TD.
Florida 24, Vanderbilt 10
Week 6 vs. LSU: Win (5-1)
One of my biggest upset picks of the year is right here. Last year Florida shocked Ole Miss 38-10 at the swamp. I got Del Rio making enough plays to top Florida over Fournette and the Bayou Bengals. Close game the whole way.
Florida 20, LSU 13
Week 7 vs. Mizzou: Win (6-1)
Mizzou will come into the swamp with momentum following a totally defensive 42-13 win in the swamp back in 2014. However, this is a totally different looking offense, and in fact an improved offense, that will possess the ball and limit turnovers, and the defense will shut down the ever so mightily struggling Mizzou offense. Florida by 17 here.
Florida 27, Mizzou 10
Week 8 vs. Georgia: Win (7-1)
Expect the domination of the Florida-Georgia series to continue with a close win for the Gators. Georgia's defense will show up under Kirby Smart, but in the end, Del Rio makes a desperation play to break a late tie game to win by a touchdown.
Florida 24, Georgia 17
Week 9 @ Arkansas: Win (8-1)
Arkansas is coming in on a bad note this year. Despite having a great offense, that won't be enough to pass the Gator defense; and ARK's defense was awful last year. Don't expect much of a change, Gators by 10.
Florida 27, Arkansas 17
Week 10 vs. South Carolina: Win (9-1)
Muschamp is looking promising for South Carolina, but this game is in the swamp, so I've got to give the edge to the Gators.
Florida 31, South Carolina 17
Week 11 vs. Presbyterian: Win (10-1)
Florida 66, Presbyterian 0
Week 12 vs. Florida State: Loss (10-2)
Big upset pick for FSU lies right here. The Gators will come into Tallahassee with 10-1 momentum, but FSU has't lost at home since 2012, yes, to this same Gator team, but it doesn't matter. FSU wins it in OT on a field goal.
FSU 17, Florida 14 (OT)
