Let's be serious. Letsgo isn't a capper, he is a fanboy. FSU is an absolute horrible matchup for Auburn. Auburn's defense is not good at all. Worst by far ever to be in the NCG...... not even close. The only chance they have to win is to outscore FSU. Could they? Maybe. Why? FSU hasn't played a rushing offense remotely close to Auburn's. I'm not sold on FSU's defense at all, particularly their run D. I think FSU's D is good, not great. They will give up yards on the ground to Auburn, probably a lot. The problem is though, FSU probably has the best secondary in the country. They can sell out to stop the run. If they even slow it down Auburn is big trouble. OSU was a better matchup for FSU, at least they could stop the run. Auburn can't stop anything at all. FSU will put up 40 easy. The only angle I see is that FSU has played a terrible schedule, the ACC is horrible and I am a ACC fan and UNC fan. The ACC will be lucky to get 3 bowl wins..... and they don't exactly play the toughest bowl schedule...
Safest bet on the NCG is over. FSU 45-32. It may even get ugly if Auburn turns the ball over. Auburn will score, FSU will just score more.
Im a fanboy??? Of who??? Auburn?? Umm good try
Please let me know which part of my comment is NOT true....
SEC has dominated college football last 8 years....CHECK
Teams outside the SEC would struggle to go .500 in a season...can be proven but likely possible....CHECK
SEC leads the drafts in players drafted last 5-7 years every year...CHECK
FSU has not played 1 top 10 offense....CHECK
FSU has played 1 top 41 offense....CHECK
Its ok, everything I said was true...but im not a good capper....everybody keep hating the SEC because they keep dominating year after year....
The play in this game is the over....with a sprinkle on Auburn and Auburn ML....but those who play FSU will once again realize why ESPN slurps the SEC every year....FSU has not played an offense like this all season.....And yes, Auburn gives up points, but FSU hasnt played a defense with speed like this all year besides Florida, who they struggled with for the 1st half..a slow start for FSU in this game and they could be down 14-21 very quickly

The greatest college athlete of all time?? He hasn't even finished a full year in college football. FSU strength of schedule is the worst of any team in the top 20 BCS rankings. There is no doubt that he is a quality QB with tons of athletes to surround him, but saying he is the best ever is a stretch, don't you think? Their best win is beating Clemson who got whipped a few weeks ago by the SEC's 4th best in South Carolina.
Why don't you go familiarize yourself with his baseball highlights.
How many Hiesman winners are out there in college athletics that can also play in the pros in another sport? None. Again, I am correct and you are not.
Bo knows. And he was an Auburn Tiger. Hope that doesn't jinx ya!

I remember hearing nothing but "play the OVER" all that week when Auburn played Oregon a couple years ago. They set the total in the 70's and it barely cracked 40. If this game was played a week, maybe two weeks out from the regular season I would agree with all of the strategies mentioned in this thread. The fact is the passing of time of over 4 weeks between games (the only major sport to do this) almost completely dilutes any strategies you can use for the NC game.
The month off really didn't help either team in 2011 as both offenses were rusty, but I think the real culprit in that game was the Univ. of Phoenix turf. The field was a joke in that game. I worry about the Rose Bowl field for the BCS game as the rose bowl is being played only a few days prior. I hope they don't re-sod the entire field between games.
I agree, the month layoff has a big impact and people tend to ignore that crucial point in handicapping bowl contests. I guess that is what makes bowl season great, uncovering diamonds in the rough and other angles.

I'm so glad LETGOPACK has weighed in on this debate.
First of all Mr. Dookie had invited views about this match up and instead of having a civil discussion, he try's to berate them into submission. Well, a lot of posters are not laying down and taking it. Congrats for holding your ground!!
Now..LETGOPACK. A great guy now in my opinion, but there was a day he was just like Mr. Dookie. He defended his Packers like they were is red headed step child. No one could move him off his stance that the PACK was unbeatable that year. Even after NYG schooled them out of going to the Super Bowl.
Even after that, he couldn't see the reality of the situation. He fought everyone tooth and nail. Eventually, he saw it clearer, and peace was restored in the thread.
After all that is said, I think Mr. Dookie is LETGOPACK on steriods!
If his team loses, don't expect one speck of humility.......he will go down fighting to the grave defending his almighty noles.
I loved one poster saying...."This isn't everything you wanted to know about AUB/FSU...it's all about Mr. Dookie"

It took me a bit to finally grow-up alittle on here
By the way, I still think GB gave NY the game that night, but to each their own
As for this thread, luckily I have no "dog" in the fight....just trying to give my opinion but now I see how frustrating it is when a "fan" is so blinded to the other side...
FSU is a great team, but an FSU blowout? An 'amazing' FSU defense I dont see it, given the awful offenses they played all year....but like I know, its hard to try to listen to what others say about your team
My larger play willl for sure be the over, but with the odds and points its impossible to pass up Auburn and ML at a number like that with an SEC league that dominates year after year...people continue to try to think the SEC will fail, but until they do its hard to go against them

FSU won ACC tourney against Duke. FSU stats were not made against SEC type teams. Everyone all year has downed Auburn, they will give FSU all they want. Yall all talk about how great Ohio State is,but look at them now.

You do realize the most points scored against UF, the 2nd ranked defense in the SEC, in 2013 was by FSU at their place....
Ohio State sucks....their defense may be worse than Auburn's....if you allow Michigan to throw for 400 yards, you have some significant flaws on defense....
The best offense that Auburn played was Texas A&M and they gave up 41 points. They played LSU and gave up 35, they played Mizzou and gave up over 40...over 35 to UGA....
The 2 best offenses to play FSU...Clemson scored 14, 7 of which was in the final minutes...and Miami which scored 14...
People seem to simply want to discount Clemson, even though they are playing in a BCS bowl. They also beat a healthy UGA scoring 38 points against them, where as Auburn scored 43 point against UGA....so Clemson showed the same ability against a "quality" SEC team as Auburn, but Clemson couldn't do crap against FSU
The offenses for both FSU/Auburn will get their points, but the FSU defense has shown the ability to win more of their share of battles compared to Auburn's defense....

Auburn's passing defense is ranked 104th in the nation and is going against the best qb and receiver combo that CFB has seen in years. FSU will get its points. It all comes down to whether FSU can get it's stops -- which I think they will. Bama forced 6 Auburn punts and their secondary isn't 1/10th of what FSU's is. Sure, Auburn will get some rushing yards, but FSU will play man to man and put 7/8 men in the box. Our linebackers will not miss tackles like Missouri's did and let Mason get to the second level.
Further, Auburn is ranked 88th in total defense, thus they have as much trouble stopping the run -- Freeman, Wilder, KARLOS WILLIAMS. HELLLO!!!!
Also, Clemson leads the nation in TFLs with a solid DL including Vic Beasley and Crawford at DE. Syracuse, UMaryland, BC, and Clemson all have more sacks per game than AU and three of those four teams (Syracuse, UMaryland, Clemson) all average more TFLs than AU. Those 3 teams rank, respectively, #1, #9, and #23 in TFLs. Auburn ranks 25th.
Further, Jameis Winston.
I see the Noles scoring between 42-55 and Auburn getting between 13-24.
Noles big. I have tons and tons of other stats but that is all for now. I am the foremost Nole authority on this message board as in early July I threw a combined $500 spread out between FSU to win the National Championship and Jameis Winston to win the Heisman. I expected all of this and I am going to be paid off very well soon.

Considering I'm licensed to practice law in 2 states and am a juris doctor working in the sports field, your video game reference couldn't be any further from the truth.
Again, another outlandish claim of yours not based in reality.
Licensed in two states? S h I t, I thought you had a license to ill in all states. Don't cut yourself short, Dokie

It doesnt matter if they both played Georgia and Clemson scored on Georgia
Florida St played ONE team in the TOP 42 in OFFENSE this year ONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Their defense will not be able to stop Auburn like people believe....
They have the #2 defense because 92% of their games were against teams in the bottom 70% of college football
Its great that FSU has great corners and safties, because Auburn wont need to throw the ball to score....
FSU will score many points, but Auburn will not have a problem scoring...
Auburns offense gets better every week....They made a very very good Bama and Mizzu team look very bad against the run....FSU has not seen ONE team like this all year

However, it's very simple in comparing Homers....they are all alike and will never see or even dare to glance at the other side. For instance, and just for sake of conversation, Mr.Dokie's fan-love for FSU / ACC is just as similar as......let's say, a NIU / MAC homer. In fact, it was only a few weeks ago that several NIU homers were peddling Lynch for heisman and stating that NIU would easily hang 35 on BAMA. Mr. Doogie and crew are one in the same with these MAC fanatics, whereas out the chute, they're quick fire-off against any game comparison match-up that speaks of the opposing team.

Now that's funny! Dooks, your true colors are bleeding through. Let's see, spewing out actual wager figures, being ultra defensive at any moment, popping off about your degree/profession.....sounds like you are using this board in much more ways than we thought. No way in hell would a normal-minded person resort to going there....think about it. Shall we assume something on the lines of lack of respect in your career or real life......maybe short-mans syndrome? This is getting good, Ol'Dokie.
Because I don't respect any of your opinions. I am right. It will be proven. What will you say at this moment.

This thread is almost as exciting as the game is going to be.
Before I get started, don't get me wrong, watching Auburn the last couple of weeks was one of the coolest things I've ever seen in college football. I want to root for them so badly, but as Lee Corso says, "this is strictly business."
Due to Auburn's obvious weaknesses on defense, how much better does their offense have to be than FSU's offense to make up for the difference of the two defenses? Just looking at the difference between the two teams' scoring defense (let's not read too much into this guys), we are talking something like 2 TDs. I think it should be kept in mind that elite defenses tend to hold elite offenses to fewer points that the simple average of points allowed and points scored, respectively. Auburn has an elite offense but not an elite defense, whereas FSU has elite both.
I found it funny how one poster said that with a month to prepare, Malzahn will have a lot of time to invent new plays. Clearly, the month to prepare benefits FSU. Auburn does seem to throw some wrinkles in there, but their offense is about varying a small number of plays. With FSU's talent in the secondary, they'll be able to load the box and with the extra time to prepare, I don't see any way that they won't hold Auburn significantly under their averages over the last few weeks.
I think the best chance Auburn has of winning is that Winston finally starts acting like a freshman. Of course, there has been exactly no evidence of this, but I don't think it can be completely ruled out. If Auburn gets a lot early stops, both FSU and Auburn might start to believe that Auburn can win the game and that would be bad news for FSU.
I guess I'm one of the few people that like the under in this game. I think FSU has the potential to shut Auburn down to a shocking extent. Even if Auburn is able to move the ball, it will not come in the big chunks that were seen during the SEC championship. They will have to work for the yards, which will eat up clock. I would not be surprised if this game plays out a lot like the ACC championship (except for more scoring by Auburn) where excitement kept the game low-scoring in the first half but FSU eventually pulled away. I see something like 38-24 FSU. If you want to bet on Auburn, I think you should definitely parlay with the over.

Why do people, who gamble, continue to use the they played this team and that team and both played this team bla bla bla....
Auburns offense gets better every week....They made a very very good Bama and Mizzu team look very bad against the run....FSU has not seen ONE team like this all year
What makes Mizzou good? What because Mizzou beat UGA, UF, Tenn, Kentucky to win the SEC East? What because they beat Texas A&M, a team that lost to every ranked team they played? Mizzou lost to the 2 decent teams they played, according to the people on this board that makes them as sh*tty as Clemson....

Because I don't respect any of your opinions. I am right. It will be proven. What will you say at this moment.
Man, you keep taking the bait!
Well Dokie, as a non-fanatic, I would have no problem if FSU wins with or without covering the #. By now, you should know the middle scenario that works best for me.....Yes, I would love for FSDokie to win ML and AUB to cover the spread.
I'm gonna go out on a limb and surmise that you tend to struggle in grasping the fact that not everyone thinks and acts like you. My reaction to FSDokie covering the # would be in line with a normal human reaction without blowing a gasket. I know this is hard for you to understand, but I'm pretty sure about my future disposition.
From the trend of your fanatical, berating posts, you would react as most in here would expect (going from an 8 on the Chip-Meter, up to a solid, overflowing 10) without me having to write-up such unlimited scenarios filled with pre-quotes. And YES, I'll be around after arriving back from my favorite casino/sportsbook. No F'n way would I miss the entertainment you bring to the site..... No way,

Mizzu has a very good team, and a very good defense....and going into the game against Auburn they had one of the best rushing D in the country and looked like a middle school team...Auburn did the same thing to Bama....
They will do the same thing to FSU.....it doesnt matter how many days you have to practice and prepare, you cant practice against this kind of offense...FSU cant run this offense in practice for their defense to prepare...they wont be as sharp
I just find it very comical how everybody keeps saying FSU D is so amazing, ranked #2 playing 1 team in the top 42 in offense

Nobody has said Auburn defense is good or will stop FSU....
But, all you read from every FSU fan is how amazing their D is and Auburn wont move the ball and wont score 20...
Do FSU fans even look at the pathetic offenses they played this year??
My big play on this game is going to be the over....my only discussion on this game is trying to explain why Auburn will score plenty of times against this FSU D who hasnt seen any offense like this all year and still allowed more rushing yds per game than Bama and Mizzu and both of those teams gave up over 300yds to Auburn

The long layoff gives Auburns defense the best advantage out of any of the areas in this game...No amount of time is enough to prepare for Auburns offense, nor can other teams offense practice like the Auburn offense...
FSU was struggling big time against Florida in the 1st half...and if it wasnt for a 3rd and like 21 completion with 4 mins left they might have went into halftime with 3 points...
That being said, I dont see either team stopping the other multiple times and both could very easily score in the 40s
The SEC has won how many titles in a row?? I dont see that changing this year, and all the SEC haters will once again find out why ESPN slurps the SEC every year
