week 6 was a winner, no complaints

My Top 10

  1. Alabama
  2. West Virg
  3. Oregon
  4. Florida
  5. Kansas St.
  6. South Carolina
  7. Notre Dame
  8. Ohio St.
  9. LSU
  10. USC

As many of you know from over the years I live in Texas, many things are wonderful here in the Lone Star state but one thing that sucks is listening to delusional Texas fans about how good their defense is and how great Manny Diaz is, Dana played games with the Texas coaching staff, Geno gave them two fumbles with less than 10 yards to score both times, their biggest night game in some time and they still got slapped, suck on that Mack and Manny, Geno and Dana own you both and I love every minute of it, I will remind every Texas fan I see this week how great Manny Diaz is at making adjustments

Jimbo and Florida St, so glad those guys are off my TV set as well, national title contender because they beat Clemson at home? that team would get thrashed by Bama, West Virg or Oregon, go win the ACC and have fun, just please don't talk national championship anymore, those days are long gone and aren't coming back anytime soon

the SEC is the best conference in America, I won't argue, that is a fact that can't be argued but for the 2nd straight week I went through the agony of watching LSU, last week they beat a laughable Auburn team 12-10, this week they put up 6, that's 18 points their last two games, friggin Bowling Green put more than that up in the Swamp, LSU may have a great defense but that offense is dreadful and has zero identity, that is awful football to watch and if you disagree then I hate you without ever having to meet you

I'm impressed with the Florida Gators, I have doubted whether or not Muschamp is the guy from day 1 but he and his staff have made great halftime adjustments this year and remain unbeaten, kudos to them, probably the 2nd best team in the SEC at this point, Bama would punish them though

West Virginia isn't going to lose to any Big12 teams unless Geno gets hurt and can't play, they will simply outscore everyone regardless of how their defense plays, Dana is the best offensive play caller in college football, end of story

gotta love Synder and what he has done with K State, all they do is win football and look good doing so, I don't think they are elite but they are well coached and don't beat themselves, that is more than I can say for Georgia and Florida St

Urban has the Buckeyes unbeaten, he is doing it in a weak conference but its still his first season with many of the same players that Fuckel couldn't win with, he knows how to win

I'm shocked every week by Notre Dame's defense, Coach BK has always been an offensive guru, not defensive, his offense is so so and his defense is shutting teams down

I don't like the offensive line play of the Oregon Ducks despite them rolling everyone they play, they have to get better up front if they plan to beat a team like Alabama, they have the coolest helmets in the history of mankind though, those yellow helmets with mirror image wings on them are stupid good, Ducks look pimp every week, love it

see some great games on the board this week, hopefully I can squeak out a few winners, I'm feeling almost healthy again and ready to do some damage, either to my wallet or the book

Love the thoughts above

agree with plenty

Florida st is a Joke ... they play almost NO One ... they better not Sniff the BCS championship

but WVA will lose 1+ BIG 12 games .... The Conference is a meat grinder .

Best of Luck as always my much respected Brother ... may you make some Major Coin from here on out

that will do it for the early grabs, I'll wait for some lines to settle over the next few days

will be on Washington (once it hits 14) and maybe Tulsa (slight lean)

Ditto...and if the first half doesn't go well for Alabama, I'll double up in the 2nd.

indeed, facing Landry and Bob isn't as scary as Dana and Geno and I'm getting points with the better team, I don't have to like Mack & Manny to like money, the wrong team is favored in this one, Texas should win by two touchdowns

can't double up now, line is at 21

I thought 17.5 was way low for opener, Mizzou may get the goose egg in this one

41-0 sounds about right

Do you want to tell the people what happened last year when you predicted UT to beat OU easily, or should I?

pretty much agree with all your thoughts Wahoo...

Mountaineers are legit, and Geno is playing lights out

LSU defense is good, a little down from last year, but who would have thought their offense would struggle to mount a drive..

Seminoles ? you almost had to expect they would drop one that they shouldn't

Irish playing well, but Cardinal will be tough one

Best of luck with the card

You're right about the Ducks.  They look great until they go up against an athletic D with a huge D line ie. SEC.

Was curious who you'd take in the Red River.
Good luck this week.

I'm wrong often, could be here as well, find me someone who doesn't miss on predictions and I'll just take what they have every week

Bob has done well against Mack over the years, has alot of Texas players on his team each year and has the better record head to head

Mack is good for OU fans like yourself, that way you don't have to remember all the BCS games Bob has lost

speaking of, I bet a large amount when you USC made you guys look like a high school squad, OU was favored and only lost by like 35 points

I remember my losers and my winners, at the end of the day I can handle either outcome so if OU and Landry win this week I'll be happy to admit I was wrong, congratulations on having such a great memory and remembering my losing prediction

Stanford is quite predictable offensively and their QB is quite average, they could get the cover if its a low scoring smashmouth defensive game but if the Irish score in the mid 20's then that should be enough to cover the number, I don't see the Cardinal scoring alot of points, I would be surprised if they scored more than 17

they could have easily beaten Auburn but they had no chance against LSU last season, the Duck offensive line isn't nearly as tough this season as the past few years in my opinion, I love Oregon and would love to see them beat an SEC team for the title but I don't think they could handle the size and strength of Alabama, not sure anyone else can beat Alabama though

I would give West Virginia the best chance but at the end of the day, Bama could just line up and smash WVU off the line of scrimmage and control the clock

Saban has built one heck of a program over there and I don't see that going away any time soon, Bama is legit

I honestly think Texas should win but OU is favored by the oddsmakers and Bob-arino is certainly a better coach than Mack Brown, maybe I just hate Landry Jones from when he had that porn stache, who knows, I'm sure I'm wrong again as SoonerFanTU will tell you

You obviously don't remember the ugly back and forth we had.  I simply wanted to warn you that you were WAY off base last year.  I didn't come into your thread calling you names.  I came looking to clarify some things.  I called OU winning that game big.  To me, it was obvious if you had watched both teams that year up until that game, and if you had followed the rivalry since Stoops' arrival.

This year?  I'm not saying you are wrong.  I'm certainly not predicting an OU blowout.  To be honest, if they played 10 times, I don't think either team would win more than 6 of them.  Like you said, Bob has owned Mack for the most part.  I'm also not a big fan of Ash and his throwing abilities.  And the UT defense hasn't played up to it's potential.  That said, I worry about OU's tackling against the UT running backs, and I'm not sure OU can effectively pass block the two UT defensive ends.

I truly see this game as a toss up, mostly b/c I still don't think we know much about the two teams.  And I'm not sure how UT will respond to losing a big home game less than a full week before the OU game kicks off.  I have no problem with your UT bet, because like I said, I think the game is a toss up.

And as for Bob Stoops, I'll take losing BCS games over not making them any day of the week.  I wouldn't argue with anybody that said Saban or Urben were better coaches.  But after that, after those two, Bob's resume stacks up to anybody's over the last decade+.  And most know that Saban isn't running a clean program, so there is that.

Under Stoops OU has had two Heisman winners, a couple other candidates, we've set all kinds of offensive and passing records, and we've produced the highest scoring offense in history.  We've sent a boat load of players to the NFL.  We've won the conference nearly half the time.  And for the most part, we don't lose more than 2-3 games a year.  I'll take that.  :)

Looks like a good " Under " play potentially.

WahooS, Best of Luck this week.
