They traded the recently acquired Andrew Heaney for Kendrick and I don't understand that move. The Dodgers are even paying his $9.5 million AND hes a free agent after the season while Heaney is a top #30 prospect and is controlled through 2020.
They're also about to sign Brandon McCarthy for a 4 year, $48 million deal. Now I understand that he was incredible with the Yankees but other than that he was only good his 2 years in Oakland. Personally, I think he will pitch well there. I kinda "feel it." I see him fitting in there and I know he wasn't good in Arizona but as a Dodger, especially in that park, I think he'll be good but $48 million for a guy who just pitched to a 5 ERA for 9 of the at 12 baseball months? I don't think so.

The Dodgers are so wealthy they are throwing money at every problem, real or imagined. I shouldn't carry a grudge but really don't like McCarthy getting another big break after his total lack of effort in Arizona. A lack of performance I could stomach if he was giving an effort, but he never did, and now he lucks out not once, but twice.
Now and then even a BLIND squirrel can find an acorn
