I'm hoping that the Netherlands' pitchers 'finesse' style and wicked changeup will work well against that Japanese method of sort of falling away from the ball as they swing... the vulnerable area (for RHB) will definitely be the gap between 1B, SS, and RF... those soft flop shots to opposite field should be abundant. All that foul territory though, if they wall away a bit early it's an out.

Well, there's three of us.
One has the under.
One has Japan.
One has the Netherlands and Over.
...Unless Japan wins by 1, the majority of us will be walking away losers. And if that is the case, it better be an over, or I'll be a loser as well.

#30 Posted: 3/10/2013 6:26:40 AM it's all good spitfire, if you win all across the board, then i'm happy for you, don't mind the anger that i might have, it's always directed towards stupidity that i might see in the heat of the game. but so far so good, 1 2 3 netherlands batters down in order |

#31 Posted: 3/10/2013 6:28:16 AM My over was a stupid bet. May well hit, but I wasn't sure enough and it was an emotional bet with some factors playing into it that really weren't about my expectations for the game.
I should just be on Netherlands, but I do see a lot of angles for the over... just not sure it's really a long-term winner.

#40 Posted: 3/10/2013 6:32:53 AM And there's a stiff line-drive into that 'bermuda triangle' in front the right fielder which I expect to be a hot area in this game.

#46 Posted: 3/10/2013 6:36:58 AM That was a great piece of hitting, but the fact that Cordemans' fastball up and away can be not only caught up to but PULLED heavily is a horrible sign. These finesse pitchers usually either look untouchable or look like they are throwing BP depending on how well they are varying those speeds, and if the fastball location is off they will get smoked. They must be feeing confident at the plate right now, my only hope is that the Netherlands can find the same mojo and compete in a shootout. If the Netherlands batters are anything like the Japanese it's going to be a touch request.
Ouch... awful dropped ball by the left fielder. Looked like he lost his eye on it a bit, but the ball hit his glove, he needs to catch the friggin baseball.
