Gabriel, you a transplanted Montrealer? Was at Olympic stadium for the last game. Broke my heart. No love lost for scumbag/carpetbaggers Selig, Loria, Samson and Brochu. Crowmartie was in the city last week trying to organize something to get baseball back here.

Hey shimmer. Actually still a resident f montreal. I was 17 when the sexpoz left. Im sure u know the story. U still in mtl? I was also at the last game. It was heartbreaking. Baseball can work in mtl but mlb screwed us so many times. Every team in mlb that lost their franchise got a 2nd chance. All we needed was a stadium downtown. Story goes: claude brochu team president came up with the stadium plans. And fundraising. 1/3 was private, 1/3 was federal and 1/3 was to be provincial. When brochu met with provincial finance minister at the time the project was good to go. BUT then selig the pig flew in to mtl and quebec prime minister lucien bouchard said no to provincial funding. Selig never set foot in mtl again. It had become personal for him.

Remember when we swept the phillies in aug of 04 or 03 and got the wildcard spot. Stadium was fool. 30k people every night. That was our chance to ressurect. Then selig the pig forbid us to call
Up players from the minors and that was it. ROcky biddle stank it up in florida and that was it

As for mr crowmartie, im actually in contact with him on a weekly basis, he liked my idea for selling shares for a potential dtown ballpark to the public with promise or dividends if a franchise ever came back. The problem right now is that there are numerous groups. U got eric gagne whos trying to build a stadium and youth dev center on the south shore for eventual minor team. You also got rodger brullote with his group of unnammed secret investors and then theres mr crowmartie. No one can say this aint a mlb city. Anyone remember 94 cuz us baseball fans in mtl do. BEST TEAM IN BASEBALL 1994 sexpoz

I still have a vintage old school Expos batting cap I purchased years ago at a trade show.Miss that team.Always a tough matchup for my Phillies. I agree that Selig is a friggin scumbag carpetbagger .

I went to 1982 All Star Game at The Big 'O' and really had a great time and they probably deserve baseball more than a lot of other
