Well history told you the Preds were going to the cup last night. What does it say about the Pens closing things out tonight? You would think the Sens would boot strap up and send things back to Pitt ? Well......
First of all there isn't a huge sample base for this since things went back to 2-2-1-1-1 for all series a number of years ago.
Bonus history here......93-94, All series were best-of-seven with home ice rotating on a 2-2-1-1-1 basis, with the exception of matchups between Central and Pacific Division teams. These matchups were played on a 2-3-2 basis to reduce travel. In a 2-3-2 series, the team with the most points could choose to start the series at home or on the road. The Eastern Conference champion faced the Western Conference champion in the Cup Final.
1994-95 - Same as 1993-94, except that in first, second or third-round playoff series involving Central and Pacific Division teams, the team with the better record had the choice of using either a 2-3-2 or a 2-2-1-1-1 format. When a 2-3-2 format was selected, the higher-ranked team also had the choice of playing games 1, 2, 6 and 7 at home or playing games 3, 4 and 5 at home. The format for the Stanley Cup Final remained 2-2-1-1-1.
Hard to believe but back in 74-75 the Preliminary round the series was just best of 3
But anyway I digress......
The Pens winning is a flip of the coin. For the Semifinals it's 50% and for all rounds it's just 52.5%. So the Sens getting +135 is more than enough to take a spin on them.
History says just watch and enjoy the game. Lippsman says take the Sens plus the +135

Very interesting! Line at 5dimes was Pit -150, now -140. I thought it would go the other way and I never checked, but I'm assuming public $ on pit here. I'm digging the Pitts -1 line at +138! I really think it's the play here! I think the Sens Goode is cooked. They have been rolling, but what does a 7-0 loss do to a team that was really not supposed to be here?
Now I'm just rambling, but I see this as reverse line movement and I think Pitts -1 is the play. What u thinkin? Are you playing sens or just saying it's good value?

Teams getting routed they way the Sens did (5+ goals) usually win the next game in the playoffs, I want to say teams in that situation are 7-1. If anyone can confirm that I did read it on here when the Sharks blewout the Oilers 7-0. I have a series on Ottawa so what I'm think is taking thier +450 series line and if they win tonight hedge out with the Pens for money either way. GL all.
