Hello covers community. First time post here! Really digging the forum, it looks like a lot of intelligent hockey fans migrate here. Which has also lured yours truly ??????????
Highroller420 has two plays for you folks tonight, comment in the thread below and let me know your thoughts!
Toronto/Winnipeg OVER 5.5 ...and... NYR ML -160
Toronto's defense looked awful on the road in Ottawa, as did their prized offseason acquisition of a goalie...but with Auston Matthews and co. Putting up 4 goals in each of the first two games, it seems a foregone conclusion that they might be able to replicate that type of production against a Winnipeg team (at home, two Canadian teams playing against each other, energetic environment) that doesn't play much defense either.
The rangers at a -160 clip scares me a bit given the types of leads they've blown over their first 3 games, though they've managed to win two of them. Getting Kevin Klein back in the lineup should be a boost to a team that has a well rested lundqvist in net as well. At home the rangers are a tough team to beat, and with jimmy Howard in net for Detroit, kreider and vesey looking like studs, I have a hard time seeing a red wing victory in NY.
