I am 6' 2" but weights 249.  I have been an avid weight lifter for nearly twenty years now but in my zest to add more and more weight I have not done my fair share of cardio so I am going to shed some fat and hopefully get down to about 10% or less body fat.  My wife feels the need to lose some weight so we figured that we would do a body fat loss contest.

So between now and May 15, 2011 I will track our progress once a week and post it here so everyone can keep us (really me because I will not know how my wife is doing until the end) accountable!

This is a great idea, jesron. Whenever someone goes on a diet, you have a 40% better chance of sticking with it, if you do it with somebody else.

I wish you and your wife nothing but the best in your endeavor.......

I was checking out the p90x thing online, and it seems daunting; I live in an apartment, and all the jumping around wouldn't be fair to the people below me. I wonder if there's a p45x; or maybe exercise for Dummies book I need to follow........

First weight in...

Down to 246.5 and lost 2% body fat.

Trying to get down to 195 and less than 10% body fat.  BOL!

P45x


I am coming off of a back surgery and need to get back into shape...  but I looked at the P90x video and I know some of the exercises and stretching would probably do more harm then good at this point...

I am going to weigh in tomorrow actually Hugh.  I have been a yo-yo the last couple of weeks but I really was disciplined this week so I am hopeful.  Thanks for keeping my accountable Hugh!
