#3 Posted: 8/24/2012 1:19:32 AM Yeah they could do that. I feel like one of them will be matched up with Boetsch though.
Man, if Vitor blitzes Jones.... |

#5 Posted: 8/24/2012 2:59:28 AM Crazy behind garbage, I'd be much more interested in Wiedman.
What does this line even open at? Even though Vitor has fought at LHW and even Heavyweight I feel like Jones opens at least -700.

#6 Posted: 8/24/2012 4:34:01 AM I think vitor is popular and without a doubt will have the publics back, -400 or so for jones is the opener I think |

#7 Posted: 8/24/2012 10:32:35 AM I think Dana putting machida in immediately was his response to jones who said he didn't want to fight machida again so quick |

#8 Posted: 8/24/2012 10:51:03 AM I hope they don't do weidman belcher because I want to see them both get a title shot soon. If they fight each other, the loser may have to win two more after that.
I was also thinking we might see hendo silva, so hendo can get his title fight. And with silva being so selective hell prob fight a guy he's beaten already |

#9 Posted: 8/24/2012 12:38:58 PM Jon Jones (-925) vs Vitor Belfort (+625) ... I probably will not become a lines maker! off by -525. |

#11 Posted: 8/24/2012 1:56:02 PM This whole thing is fucked. If the UFC 151 card was better, they would not even need Jones fighting to carry it.

#12 Posted: 8/24/2012 1:59:41 PM Jones said that he would fight Sonnen at UFC 152, so why isn't he?
Dana White is saying how Sonnen "Manned up" to fight, so then why not give him the shot in 4 weeks?

#13 Posted: 8/24/2012 3:28:56 PM I'm a little puzzled as why jones was -600 vs hendo and is-1000 vs vitor. I think vitor has as good or better a chance for a KO |

#14 Posted: 8/24/2012 5:17:49 PM I'm usually all over Jones, even at his ridiculous lines... but -1300 is unplayable. I'll gladly take Vitor at +700 and hope for the blitz KO. I guess most are thinking Bones will get it to the ground w/ ease. |

#15 Posted: 8/25/2012 4:01:26 AM ALL of the money is going to be on Vitor. There's no sense in parlaying a -1300 line against a guy like him, especially under these circumstances.
I'm taking +700 as well, and if the books clean up with an easy Jones win then so be it, but Vitor is extremely sharp early and if he actually does catch Jones he'll swarm.

#16 Posted: 8/26/2012 12:43:07 PM there are always those that will put jones in huge parlays though... the books wont get toasted with a jones loss.

#17 Posted: 8/26/2012 1:25:13 PM why would someone put a -1300 on a parlay against a guy with proven ko power and fast, accurate striking?

#18 Posted: 8/26/2012 3:10:07 PM Bodog usually has the worst odds for big favs But they have the best line on jones at -900 If you choose to play vitor I believe the better bet would be ITD because If he wins it won't b a decision |

All the $ is gonna be on Vitor? Umm, why? So everyone is going to lose then?
Get real. Vitor is going to get his f'n behind kicked. He has no chance. Zero. None. |

#20 Posted: 8/30/2012 5:45:12 AM dude, relax, haha...I think all CTM was saying is that no one's going to be throwing down the amount of money it would take to even see anything close to a sizeable profit on a -900 line.
Plus, yeah, Jones will most likely finish him quickly but anyone can get tagged at any time. Henderson was def a dangerous opponent for that very reason. And Machida actually looked the best of anyone until he got choked out on his feet...The Sonnen fight would be interesting if he could get Jones down, but I don't see that happening...even if he got him down he'd just pop right back up...I really don't see a worthy opponent out there for him. I mean guys like Sho-Gun aren't cans but he's knocking them down like they are...he's already cleared out the division... |

#21 Posted: 8/30/2012 5:49:11 AM Also, a -900 line on a title fight is unheard of for UFC...that's boxing-type garbage...but the dudes been that dominant and he's getting better all the time...he does seem to possibly have some issues in the mental psyche department. It seems like he has very thin skin and is uber sensitive/emotional. So maybe he could have an off day one of these nights, but short of that or a new phenom with his athletic skill set taking over the division by storm like he has, it looks as though he's going to be chalking up the W's for quite some time, with little or no resistance. |

#22 Posted: 8/30/2012 5:57:32 AM Saw-Man,
I think it's just the punching power. Jones doesn't get hit very often. So I think Vegas is just looking at the knockout power of henderson, which is off the charts, as the most dangerous thing either Hendo or Vitor has to offer. Plus, Jones can't just take Henderson down at will, like he can Vitor, so with the Henderson fight we're pretty much at least guaranteed a stand-up fight. That said, however, I mean, we're both splitting hairs. A -600 line isn't giving Hendo much of a shot either, obviously. |

#23 Posted: 8/30/2012 6:08:55 PM Yeah it's not like I'm saying Vitor has a great chance and should only be +200 or something. But with his hand speed and power he DOES have that chance and at that line I think it's Vitor or nothing.
I'm sure Jones was going to use his length and improving standup to pick Hendo apart until he gassed, hopefully that's his plan here too (though I doubt it, probably going right for the TD)
