Lions third game have won two in a row as dogs and now back home a dog again against Falcons. Yes the Falcons beat up on a depleted Pack team at home last week but struggled to beat a Bears team on the road in week 1 the same Bears team that got raped 29-0 by the Bucs. Think everyone is still putting their money down on the OLD DETROIT LIONS this is a completely different team especially with TJ Lang over from the pack to help protect Stafford they have a lot of real great talent on offense and now the defense is stepping up 5 sacks last week at the Giants. I think they give the Falcons all they can handle this week and yes the +3 looks good enough for me to take this game will be a lot closer than a lot think and the Lions may just be 3-0 when it is over. Lions Super Bowl contender probably not but this is a real good team both sides of the ball.

The Lions are impressive this season, but are no match-up to the defending NFC Champions... Atlanta -3 @-110 is the play in this spot, you're going to see a different game, and a different team vs the Falcons...

Exactly what they said going on the road to face the Giants. Falcons for sure great home team road is a totally different story. Lions defense probably twice as good as it was last year and offensive line with the addition of Lang greatly improved. Guess the Lions will have to win a few more in a row to get some respect. Line has moved to +3.5 i will take that all day long.

If they are 5-3 when they leave Lambeau on Week 9 then that's a respectable team..
You are going to be surprised what their record is when they leave Lambeau wk 9. I will bump this thread come that time. Big thing they have got to stay healthy on both sides of the ball need all the best talent they have in every game.

what you're saying is logical, and yes the Detroit defense has improved dramatically from last season, Unfortunately for the Lions, Atlanta is not the NYG, not even close, getting +3.5 on a home dog with a 2-0 record, has value on the surface, underneath they're still the Detroit Lions, trying to justify a winning season, and a trip to the playoffs...Well, one thing for sure, someone in this thread is going to be a winner come Sunday night...

Yup the Detroit Lions. GB without Lang on Offensive Line and no Nelson no hold on without half their team Atlanta might as well have been playing the Giants or worse the 49ers. Like i said Falcons on the road lucky to squeak a win out at the Bears wk 1.

Lions got every break in the world and still lost. Crazy bounces in this game. Falcons dominated the line of scrimmage and time of possession
That's true, but Falcons still needed an absolute miracle in the end to win. (If you can even call what just happened a miracle?). Same situation as Week 1 with the Bears dropping the winning TD. Could easily be 1-2, but somehow 3-0.

Bottom line the Lions are still trying to gel they have a lot of new players on offense and defense they will only get better not going to win every game and three picks off a pretty good QB. Truly expect them to be in the playoff mix when all is said and done.
