I'm at 51.8% overall... just 2 months ago I was barely above 50% most of the time,.I've been doing gut plays. I think the majority of the Covers members do the same thing until they get close to a streak.
if I could doing my method on doing survivor picks, maybe I'll be 100 games above .500 by next year.
anyway...I'm sure there is more streak survivors wining at a 60%|+.. just got to find them.
good luck SmoothD20 on your future picks. |

What sucks is this game opened at 7.5 U-125. It was bet down sometime overnite.I may have to start going to Southpoint again like last year. They have all games and totals up day before games go. |

Yes the $25 Dime Club name refers to the 25 wins in a row needed to reach the $100,000 or 21 wins in a row to reach $25,000 hence the name $25 Dime Club. We want you to dominate. Also you can battle in the Battle Forum if you like. The current Champ is Edwardglennx. I believe Crush is setting up a tournament after the All-Star break. Stay tuned! |

#9760 Posted: 7/2/2012 11:36:54 AM BAY AREA BASH BROTHERS BASEBALL LEAGUE_______________________________ FIREBALLS NUKE CHAMPIONSHIP 10-3 IN STUNNER!
The cellar dwelling Fireballs knocked off another top team this week! This time the Championship fell hard to the suddenly potent Fireballs. Last week the Fireballs dropped league leader Str8ballin. The barrage was led by Robinson Cano who blasted 4 HR's with 10 RBI's and batted .414 for the week. Also new Fireball pickup Trevor Plouffe went deep 3 times to lead the Fireballs to their 2nd consecutive victory in what has been a sorry season for them up to this point. The Fireballs set a team high for the season with 14 HR's this week. Maybe the Fireballs have some life after all this Summer. ______________________________ CALIFORNIA BEARS BOUNCE STRUGGLING ALWAYS 2ND PLACE!
The California Bears had a solid victory over Always 2nd Place who appear to be struggling the last few weeks. Always 2nd Place has dropped 3 of their last 4 games and now find themselves only 1.5 ahead of the Bears for the 4th spot. The 4th spot is important because you avoid the #1 seed in the Playoffs. The Bears were led by Michael Morse who batted .484 with 6 RBI's and 2 HR's for the week. A fine pitching performance by Jarrod Parker with 9 K's help seal the victory for the Bears. _________________________________________ BLUE CRUSHERS EDGE SHANKS 7-6!
The Blue Crushers posted their 2nd victory in a row over bottom feeder Shanks! The Crushers will take them any way they can come after falling from grace with a horrific slide towards the end of the 1st half. They now climb back to within 1 game of a Playoff spot thanks to SP Phil Hughes who posted 2 wins while striking out 12 with a 1.13 ERA. With games like that the Crushers look like a real threat to snag a Playoff spot. The way it's currently shaping up there is a fierce battle between the Bears, Crushers and Homerun Kingz for those last spots. With All-Star Matt Kemp due back by the middle of July the Crushers will be a factor as we head towards the finish line. ____________________________________________
STANDINGS PCT. 1. STR8BALLIN .571 2. GREEN SMOKERS .527 3. CHAMPIONSHIP .527 4. ALWAYS 2ND PLACE .514 5. CALIFORNIA BEARS .505 6. HOMERUN KINGZ .495 7. BLUE CRUSHERS .489 8. FIREBALLS .464 9. TSSAJOS .464 10. SHANKS .442 _______________________________ SHOWDOWN OF THE WEEK! CALIFORNIA BEARS VS BLUE CRUSHERS

#9761 Posted: 7/2/2012 11:54:03 AM Yes, Gonna be a Battle Tourney. Have to hammer out the details, like how to draw for matchups. Any ideas? Also we are going to use the office pool section. We will go by their week and let them keep track. 3 picks a day for a week. I like the idea of moneylines instead of just winners, so we are not limited to what we can pick.
Winners move on until we have one lone Survivor ..... The BATTLE CHAMPION.
I also like the idea that will keep interest and everyone will still have a chance to win some money. That would be to continue picking 3 a day after you are knocked out until battle tourney is over. He with the most units at the end wins some cash also.
I am open to any ideas. So speak up if you want in and any ideas you might have to make this worth while. |

before my May and June streak picks.... I usually pick an All Star Streak Survivor and do some stat analysis...member Ammorgan is over 60% in the contest but only 52% in 2012 so far. no matter who I pick... there is always some stat anomaly that will show up if they know it or not. some bad some good.. but as long it is consistent.. you could use it as a play.
for example... user MC2010 winner of 21 straight last year. lifetime 57%...53% in 2012. I tailed him for awhile... but found in 2012... he was 12-23 in NBA O/U picks. just need to find the stat openings and you use to your advantage.
don't want to get too stat crazy.. that gives me a headache. this isn't really a streak surivor strategy to the user but a strategy to win $$
Good going SmoothD20 for this popular thread.

Count me in and let's start getting some commitments. $10 to enter. 70% goes to the Champ and 30% goes to the person with the most units. The only problem i see is if we're doing a tourney what will be the matchups for the knocked out. How do we determine that? We can figure it out I guess. Also see if Greeneyed Devils will participate. That way we can just paypal the money to him. |

#9770 Posted: 7/2/2012 5:22:07 PM Crush-Yes they don't let you post on anything. All I can do is make picks. The worst part is when I called them they say they don't handle that anymore. Some outside company does and they don't have a phone. I sent them an email but no response. The worst part is just like Bama I don't know what I did. I had a couple of beefs going. But I didn't use any profanity. Some prick called me the "N" word by telling me to fill in the blanks. I didn't swear at him. Then some other clown was calling the healthcare bill communist/socialism. We had a spirited debate but the guy was uneducated. I threw some zingers at him but again no profanity. Then there was the guy that posted Chad Miller's phone number on his wall. I simply said to him that he was a jealous hater and what kind of friend would post another guys phone number on the internet after he won $300,000! So somewhere in there I insulted some Nazi moderator who didn't like what I was posting. But I guess the people wanting to sue ESPN and hire lawyers because they think the contest is rigged is ok but God forbid if I state my opinion about something without using profanity. |

#9771 Posted: 7/2/2012 5:26:51 PM The funny thing is I hardly post over there except in my groups for this reason because it seems like every time some controversy comes down. All they want to do is ban people. If you knew the reason why you're being banned then at least you could correct the situation. But I guess that's part of the game over there. "You're in trouble! Guess why"? |

#9772 Posted: 7/2/2012 5:51:25 PM Since when did caring about your fellow Americans make you a Liberal? I think like most people I'm middle of the road. There are issues where I am hard right and there are issues where I'm on left. I love my country but wrong is wrong. How is it that so many people care about Corporations that don't give a rat's behind about you. Yet these same people will throw their fellow man under the bus. There is no reason on Earth I don't care what nobody says that the richest country on the planet can't pay for healthcare for it's people. Every industrialized country on the planet does it and we cry like a bunch of babies over this plan when in reality its nothing but crumbs off the table. Some people want to talk about how these people in other countries hate their system. Please show me one person from Canada, England, Brazil or any other country that hates their system. I know people from these countries and they laugh at us and our insane healthcare costs. My friend went to the hospital last year for 3 days $28,000. That's ridiculous. I talk to people everyday in my business. Their #1 hardship? Medical bills. Most of them had insurance but guess what? The Insurance companies wont cover them for some reason, I wonder why. These insane people want to keep this system in place. Now that is freaking amazing. It doesn't work. At least the crumbs we're getting now is better than what we had before. Is it enough? I don't believe so. I wont be satisfied until every American doesn't have to worry about healthcare as a road to financial slavery and hell. Why should you work your whole life only to give all your money to pay some medical bill. No way! I would rather leave the money to my children than to give some corrupt insurance company all my money. I know I'm hardcore because I actually care about people and even though I love making money. I wouldn't sell my children off to make a buck like some of these money grubbing people that have no conscience. This country spends more on Corporate welfare than all other entitlement programs besides Social Security and I'm tired of listening to all the whining and bitching and moaning about a watered down healthcare bill that took over 100 years to even get. Now this issue of foreigners hating their system. I had a Canadian girlfriend back in the day. She loved her healthcare system. Couldn't understand why we didn't have one. All this talk about how these countries "regret" their system. Hogwash! I haven't talked to one person yet from any of these countries who says their system sucks. I'm talking England, France, Canada, Israel, Brazil, Mexico from personal knowledge. The only people really complaining are the greedy Insurance companies wanting to break up the system so they can just make more money because it's never enough for them. Anyways I'm ranting because I'm pissed off. I'm pissed off at ignorant people who don't give a dam about people or their country. They say they do but they really don't. Maybe I care too much but that's who I am and as much as I try I just can't help it so I have to blow off steam. Thanks for listening I'm out! |
