Heard the girls were overrated in Tempe. Hard to believe, maybe my source is happy.

The weed and food in Sand Diego are worth the move.

My brother has lived just north of there the last 7 years and he is moving back to the Philadelphia area (Wilmington, DE actually) after losing his job 16 months ago and there isn't much brewing in terms of things improving. He took a comparable job offer in Wilmington to what he was making in CA, but there just isn't much there. The state has been pimped to the max, it's just dead broke. If your going to move anywhere to better yourself move more toward the center of the country. Places like Florida and Cali are shitter states.

Move to Las Vegas, the cost of living is still good, and even though I have resigned at various employments (2) due to a health condition for which I get treated at the VA, everytime I come back to Las Vegas, within a month I have employment and living the good life.

The cost of living in California is almost equal to or that of Hawaii it seems.

Best of luck to you in where-ever you choose to live.

on a site that is supposed to be for degenerates mess should be celebrated... or at least understood...

cost of living is a girl, but people I know that live there or have lived there say it is one of the best cities in the nation... however none of them are fishermen...

I would think florida would be a good option, but if you really want to pursue it you should consider hawaii...  if you are good at real estate you might be able to make it... but the salt water/ocean fishing is probably second to none... some do it professionally...

golf is great... party scene is there but weird in that people that live there do their own thing... but with tourism you might be able to find some one-night/multi-night stands that are looking to have a good time and go home...

women are both diverse and not... you will find every type of asian you can think of and few you never even heard of there and a strong AMP/escort scene there... if you like mexican or black women tho that might be hard/impossible to find there...

but cost of living sucks and you are stuck on an island...

other people tell me if you want weather/golf/women to consider staying in state and moving to scotsdale...  no fishing tho

I think it is hard to sell people on the NW salmon game... It is really a sport of its own...

It is always interesting tho how many transplants you see in major NW cities like seattle... people from the midwest, east coast... so there gotta be advatanges...
But regardless of the positives.... The weather sux

With that said the during the summers The san juan islands are a must... but no way could you move there as jobs/economy in that area must be rough because it depends on tourism...

The great thing about fishing up here is you have the option of fishing lakes, rivers, Puget Sound, or the Pacific ocean........& not just for salmon. As far as living in the SJ's you're right........that's a whole other world. You're not gonna work at Microsoft & commute from Orcas Is.

The weather does suck here..........it's currently 48degs & raining. We only get about 3 good months a year.......July-Sept. & sometimes Oct. But I'm surprised at how many people don't realize there are two climates in this state. Eastern WA is desert country, complete with rattlesnakes & 100 deg heat in the summer.......just drive 2-3 hrs east of Seattle to the other side of the Cascades & it's a whole different world.

Has anyone here ever Snow-skiied & water-skiied in the same day?

Chicago I wouldn't move here if I had options.  High cost of living, behind rape income tax, shitty weather for half the year, enjoying the lake is not as easy as it sounds, etc.....

Sports teams suck, so if your a fan of another football team sit on their sideline and most people will also be fans...just know that the cholos like to start garbage...however the vast majority are pussies so you'll be safe .

In live in OC but la jolla is my fav place in SD county...however VERY expensive.

lots do you if you like to get out and about ...esp. if you are 'active'

GL

yes there are a ton of Idain Casinos and most have poker rooms ...do have to cross the border to sports bet but darn that.

hot women ...but most very materialistic

jobs...depended in your profession but it's tough all around CA

cost of living is low if you can get a job if you need to work that is... from what i read and hear when the economy busted it has not improved in the least bit and cont. to decline...

what do you do if i can ask?

i travel alot for biz there and for the longest time every cabbie i spoke to said casino traffic is waaaaay down but just 2 weeks ago he said the tourists are starting to come back more

I go to the VA too (not LV)...thank goodness we have that for our service.
