Who doesn't believe you should have to show an ID to vote??   This is absolutely crazy!!!!  The most ridiculous argument is that we don't have voter fraud in those states??   How do they know.  haha

Keep the corporations out of it......

Democrat officals are launching a two-pronged attack on states with new laws requiring ID before voting.. because it's racist ...

Yet, Democrats in Illinois just pasted a law ..effective January 1st requiring all people who purchase drain cleaers or any caustic substance to provide a Goverment issued photo ID ...

Photo ID is needed to buy Draino, but not needed to cast a vote for the President of the country ..

Tough issue for the left. Logically we agree, but practically it's a nightmare for the left in the US because of all the people who would/could be disenfranchised.

Also, with the constant GOP attacks on minorities, combined with the notion that most minorities do not support the GOP and they will likely be affected the most, it gives the appearance that this voter ID effort is both mean spirited and targeted at minorities.

Especially when you compare the number of potential cases of voter fraud with the amount of people who would or could not be able to vote.

In sum, I think the problem is that the level of voting irregularities may not justify a law that would negatively affect such a large amount of people's democratic right to vote. Especially because 'voter fraud' is being used as the justification for the law.

That is my take, as a casual outside observer on this issue.

In addition to breaking down racial lines, it breaks down income lines as well... the idea that poor people would be affected the most, and again, are not typically GOP supporters.

That's the appearance. These are the optics.

If handicapped people in wheelchairs need a placard WITH THEIR PICTURE ON IT to park in handicapped spots there is no excuse anybody can give to convince me that voter ID's are out of line.....

In an attack on voter ID laws around the nation, Democratic officials called for a boycott on Coca-Cola, Walmart, and other organizations that supported the American Legislative Exchange Council. Within five hours of the boycott threat, Coke had backed down, removing its funding from ALEC. They said:

These tactics are CRAZY!!!!!!!!

I don't drink Coke and I don't go to Walmart because I won't spend my money on companies that are spineless.
If you take a stand on something you better have the balls to hald your ground and dig in. All these companies did was run home with their tails between their legs.
