If you can't comprehend that then you should probably go back to grade school and finish where you left off. I even used quotations to remind you where the reference came from. I'm done. Have a good time thinking of another childish comeback. Make sure to use more smiley faces

Exactly who lost money betting on Matt Brown?

#58 Posted: 4/22/2012 1:52:24 AM Well, lots of fun stuff in my forum tonight. It's a shame I missed all this fun dialogue....
Well, I got 9 out of the 12 fights right tonight including a couple of solid dogs in Matt Brown and Ben Rothwell. Unfortunately, the plays went 3-4 for a minus 5 units, as my big play on Torres totally bombed out, and someone forgot to tell Maximo Blanco that his fight was taking place tonight, not in two weeks on the Fox Card... . Did Maximo even attempt 30 strikes tonight? WTF was he doing out there...??? I really hope the UFC cans Blanco after that pathetic performance... |

#62 Posted: 4/22/2012 9:32:06 AM Good card!! Unfortunately I did not play it well. Thanks for the reminder that parlays suck behind lol
You should play all of your plays straight up. Use a constant "to win" figure (unit) and let the juice balance out on the "at risk" amount and it becomes very sensible way of playing the bigger ML figures.

I am normally quite successful with my MMA parlays. Unfortunately, it did not work out that well tonight. I would never lay heavy juice straight up the way you suggest. Laying 1500 to win 300 on Hominich and approximatley 900 to win 300 on Blanco last night would have been an even worser bank roll killer than losing a couple of parlays... |

#66 Posted: 4/22/2012 12:14:41 PM I'm surprised no ones talking about homminick, was 2nd biggest fave on the card and really just got beat down on the feet for 2 rounds, maybe his stamp card is full and he can't take much of a punch anymore? |

Funny thing about this fight is that Yagin was a strong lean for me all week leading into the weigh-ins as an autofade of Hominick. Then Yagin looked like total garbage at the weighins, much like he did for his first UFC fight, so I went with Hominick small on that last parlay. I should have just taken a pass on that fight altogether. Unfortunately, my degen side got the best of me...
But to your question, yes, I think Hominick may have lost the ability to take a punch... |

I totally agree with Yagin getting the decision. I scored it 29-28 for Yagin. He dropped Hominick in both the first and second rounds, which were the most significant damage inflicted in both rounds. Hominick did not really pick it up until late in the second round when Yagin started to fade. That was not enough to steal the round back IMO...
I have never really been a big fan of any of the Tompkins team fighters. Neither Hominick, Stout or Hordecki have really ever lived up to their potential or shown any evolution/improvement in their games, which is a shame...
Hominick has always been a bit overrated IMO. I don't think he really "earned" his title shot against Aldo. I think it is more of a reflection of the lack of depth at 145. |
