I want to get some opinions on how to withdraw this money before I make my decision on how I want to do it. I won 60 grand and want to get it out. What is the safe way to do it? Bank wire 8k at a time?

Good luck.....last year this withdrawal would have been no problem by wire or certified check. Now- let us know when you actually get it....

Getting it is not what I am concerned about... getting it and having my bank frozen is more the worry for me. Bookmaker doesn't stiff anyone for 60k. It's peanuts to them

I'm in the same boat as you only looking to get about half of that out but still a large withdrawl.

I really don't want to have my bank account frozen or have to take it out in increments $2500 or below via wu or money grams.

Back in the day we used to use carrier pigeons
until animal rights groups caught wind.  You kids
with your technology have it easy.

Yea this is what I read about last night the bank wire is the only way it seems to take more than $2500 out at a time and it has to be a minimum of $10k and no more than $50k

Get in touch with Bookmaker. Tell them you will be coming to their office to pick up the check. Take a flight to whatever shithole country they operate in. Take the cheque to their bank. Open an account there. Get a debit card with a $5000 daily withdrawal limit.

Take a flight home. In 12 days, you'll have all your cash in hand.

Not worth it for a few grand. Well worth it for 60 grand, plus you then have a foreign bank account, which is always handy.

Can you open a bank account in another country without having a permanent address or being a citizen of that country?

Sure, I expect so. I know so.

I did call Bookmaker CS though, and it seems they don't allow you to come to wherever they are and pick up your cheque. I can't think of a good reason why, other than they're near to broke.

It appears they are in Costa Rica or maybe Panama. Someplace with a Latin American CS guy.

pretty sure not many books would allow you to come pick up a check, not just bookmaker.
