#26 Posted: 5/22/2012 3:04:46 PM The only thing I've consistently one at was the hoops game. I know many who have gotten to be pretty solid on throwing the softball in the basket....they land it on the lip and roll it in.
I do think it's hilarious how the carnie throws it in from a 45 degree angle to try and show you it's an easy game. |

#28 Posted: 5/22/2012 3:29:14 PM I played basketball in college and once at sea world probably 15 years ago ( so not really a carnie game) I hit 15/16 from three and took home the big prize for each of my nieces. For the price of the shot and the size of the animals and shooting friggin unreal, still did not really feel like I had "won" This is what I tell my kids now, do you really want some stupid stuffed animal or can I just give you $5 to spend on anything else. They want the animal.

 ______________
That's why I pretty much stopped playing those games. Even if I was ultra efficient and took home a decent sized animal, I still felt like I'd rather have the money back. Not to mention, you have to cart the damn thing around with you all day.
It's hilarious to watch some schmuck at 9:00 a.m. win the big animal knowing he has to drag it around all day or walk 20 minutes back to the car to drop it off. |

#35 Posted: 5/22/2012 8:04:07 PM I never spend a friggin dime on those games. I'll keep my money and buy some over priced junk food. Atleast I know I'll be getting something. |

#36 Posted: 5/22/2012 9:36:12 PM There's not a whole lot of difference between the carny games and the degenrate sports betting crap we're involved in. year after year.
Play, lose and have fun. Degenerates don't walk away from a game that is not supposedly winable. That just violates the rules. |

And it's the same damn booths set up for everyone one of them.
But I still go.

The "she crab soup" has me interested. The same ole male crab soup is getting boring...... |

#39 Posted: 5/25/2012 6:11:54 AM I guess I've always been a bit too mule headed, because I remember as a kid, I refused to give up on the pop the balloon game.
I clearly saw my accurately tossed darts deflect off of the fn' ballon three time. Of course I immediately reloaded and fired away again. I distinctly remember one of the "darts" during one of those rounds bouncing directly back to me and hitting my hand. I still see the smirk of that slimy carnie looking at me just trying not to laugh out loud.. It was like throwing crayons at an old half inflated red kickball from the playground. |
