I'm looking at this grizzly team.  Top to bottom they overmatch the clippers (except for Chris Paul-- who's leadership far surpasses his prodigious talent).  The question is will the Grizzlies rise to the challenge of being clearly the superior team.  Last year Dallas dropped game four to Portland in a similar fourth quarter collapse.  They had more veterans on their team.  And Portland, just one year ago, wasn't way overmatched in talent by Dallas.  Well, we'll see.  Would love to hear what others have to say?  Maybe you think the Clippers overmatch Memphis?  Let me hear.  I need to make an informed decision for the next game.

thay can---the big problem now is---- they will have it really tough--the victory was a mega-boost for the clipps--and if u see the score by qrtrs the only qrtr that wasnt close was the 2nd and 3rd ---clipps never let up and were fighting whole time

The Grizzlies still have the oppurtunity to take this series...

They just need to stay with what they do well in using their defense to create offense and not try and get into 3 Point shoot out's & run and gun games with the Clippers...

With Caron Butler going down that will hurt the Clippers rotation in what they like to do, Bobby Simmons will most likely take his place which will be a Mismatch problem for the Clippers and Rudy happy should be featured more as the series goes on..

The Grizzlies just need to RELAX, and get Game 2 and try and steal 1 in L.A. to get Home court back...

yup exactly....

and now we find out who the emotional leader is on this team.....

either they fold and lose in 4 like the suns did against the spurs in 2008 or they rebound like the mavs did like last year vs the blazers (mavs blew a 20 point second half lead in game 4) use it to gel as a team and go on a deep run....

.... the only silver lining is that the grizz blew the first game of the series and not an elimination game or a game 4 or 5.  they can use it as a good learning lesson on how not to do it again.

in reading your thoughts, does that mean lay off game two, see how the grizzlies respond and if they handle the clips, take them in game three?

I do think the grizz come back to win game 2... but i wouldn't touch it on the spread, and a good rule of thumb is if you dont have the confidence the team will cover the spread, the risk you take betting the moneyline is not worth it.
