Since you are so gifted at pointing out quackery, break this video down for me. This person dipicts very adequately the average modern Mormon. Be sure to use clear and convincing terms and make sure you paint us a good picture so that we can see this quackery as you do.

That proves my point even more that republicans are a cult. Using Glenn Beck as an example to prove your case back fired. It only made my case even more.

"I'm thinking about killing Michael Moore, and I'm wondering if I could kill him myself, or if I would need to hire somebody to do it. ... No, I think I could.” Republican Glenn Beck

"When I see a 9/11 victim family on television, or whatever, I'm just like, 'Oh shut up' I'm so sick of them because they're always complaining." Republican Glenn Beck

What counter points? You completely ignored post 20.

Mormon clergy do not get paid for their service. Just like congress doesn’t use taxpayer money for personal use?

You or I cannot disprove that Kolob doesn't exist. So how can you so definitively pass that off as crazy? You can't. That shits ridiculous.

OK planet money exists but only I can see it and it’s made of cheese and god told me it exists. You can’t prove that planet money made of cheese doesn’t exist so you can’t pass it off as crazy.

Fundamentals of the church are not even close to the Branch Davidians or Heavens gate cults as you had inferred. The mere comparison is assinine.

Joseph Smith - Joseph Smith wrote the book of Mormon in the United States during the 1800s, claims to be a direct descendant of Christ, secrets of rape, molestation, murder, and slavery are tied to mormonism, told teenage girls to marry him because god told him and if they refused would go to hell for all eternity, claims God and angels spoke to him, worships third eyes, worships pyramids, magic underwear protects you from evil spirits, claims Jesus and his followers were in Utah, you expect me to believe it, and he changed his story 4,000 times?

Marshall Applewhite - In 1972, in the united states, Applewhite met a 44-year-old nurse named Bonnie Nettles at a Houston psychiatric hospital, which he had voluntarily entered because of depression and hearing voices. Nettles convinced him that they were on earth as aliens and that Armageddon was coming.

After Nettles told him that he possessed special astrological attributes, Applewhite declared himself the individual in whose mind was held that of Christ, the reincarnation of Jesus Christ. By 1975 they had begun Total Overcomers Anonymous together, which eventually became Heaven's Gate.

In 1975, Applewhite and Nettles convinced 20 people from Waldport, Oregon to join their group. Applewhite told them there would be an alien appearance by means of a UFO, but when the encounter never happened they left the group.

However, more people joined and soon the group had 93 members. Initially, meetings were held in various locations in the Waldport area, and soon spread to multiple meetups at churches, halls, lecture theaters, and new age awareness centers elsewhere; their last public meeting in.

Over a 9-month period in 1975 Applewhite, Nettles, and small groups of their followers traveled to nearly all 50 states and parts of Canada.

The group became more structured, and moved periodically over the years to various locales in California, Colorado, and New Mexico. Finally, Heaven's Gate moved to the mansion at Rancho Santa Fe, California, the site of the group's mass suicide.

Both of them are cult leaders who did the exact same things. Jesus died between 30-36 AD and the Mormon religion started in the 1800s in the United States, in the state of OHIO!

People believing in a religion that was created in 30-36 AD and people believing in a religion that was created by crazy man in the United States in Ohio in the 1800s is completely different.

You’re home schooled aren’t you.

Is Mormonism a Cult?

by: Pastor Mark Driscoll on Oct 18, 2011 in Current Events, Theology

There’s been a lot of debate lately, thanks to Presidential politics and prospect of the first practicing Mormon president in Mitt Romney, as to whether Mormonism is a cult or not.

Historically, there has been a very clear line drawn between Mormonism and orthodox Christianity, with all leaders of the church across a wide spectrum of Christianity agreeing that Mormonism is not only heretical but also a cult.

But as the wind changes and Mormonism becomes more mainstream, some evangelical leaders are breaking rank. For instance, Rod Dreher, an Eastern Orthodox Christian writing for the The American Conservative, said in a piece entitled, “Mormonism is not a cult, okay?":

“It is especially offensive, at least to me, to hear Christians speak of Mormonism as a ‘cult.’ Usually when you hear that word being applied to a church or religious group, it’s designed not to describe, but solely to marginalize…In my experience, Mormonism produces exemplary people, the kind who form stable families and strong communities, and who make good neighbors. I do not believe in Mormonism, nor do I have the slightest interest in becoming Mormon. That Mormons tend to be good people does not make their doctrines true. But inasmuch as Mormons—and I’m generalizing here—tend to produce people who are often better Christians, in terms of their behavior, than the more orthodox expressions within the Christian tradition, should make thoughtful Christians consider what truth may exist within Mormonism and what we may learn about how to live well from the Mormon experience. “

If you took everything Glenn Beck said in satire as non satire, you would likely never run out of quotes from him.

I don't need conservatives to back me up, nor do I look for it.

The fact that you can only get DL36 to give you a handjob speaks loudly enough.

We tried to get DL36 to quit being the alias police for months and months. I'm not holding my breath, but I think he has only just barely reckognized that as being childish and stupid. I'm sure he still has childish and stupid urges...I just think he is now barely mature enough to suppress them.

Out of all the things I posted you picked out believes America existed at the same time as Jesus? And defend planet KOLOB? Holy garbage this is by far the creepiest thread I have ever seen.

CD, DL, Goose, Disco, and rooster where are you guys? Rooster I told you the Republican Party was a cult if the above isn’t evidence enough I don’t know what else to present.

Jesus died between 30-36 AD and this religion started in the 1800s in the united states, in the state of Michigan and the Republican party wants him to be the leader of the United States of America?

The Heaven's Gate Cult, The Mormon Cult, and The Republican Party Cult they all are one in the same. Since you guys are brainwashed by cult leaders It’s clear to see why you defend it. Looks like Ron Paul is the only one to not drink the punch at their rallies?

I regret posting now because I am really scared and the scariest part is there are maybe 100 million crazy people walking around free and voting for romney?

Like your boy Obama's presidential campaign of hope and change? Pot meet kettle. All politicians are a joke, but it's taking the lesser of the evils. Therefore any republican candidate over Obama.  We have to elect a candidate who will work on cutting the national debt.

Lets get back to the discussion shall we.

Why would you give moneysrh a handjob and then mindlessly discredit one of his main points on this thread.

Either you have no clue what a definition of a cult is, or, you are clueless as to the things you may say that help make your opponents point.

Both of you ignored post 20, AGAIN! D_Unit before you call me an Obama “Boy” again you should read the last part of post 20.

I don’t care what some Pastor Mark Driscoll says.

1.A man in the United States from Ohio in the 1800s named Joseph Smith wrote the book of Mormon.

2. A man in the United States from Ohio in the 1800s, claims to be a direct descendant of Christ

3. A man in the United States from Ohio in the 1800s, told teenage girls to marry him because god told him & if they refused would go to hell for all eternity

4. A man in the United States from Ohio in the 1800s, claims God & angels spoke to him

5. A man in the United States from Ohio in the 1800s, worshiped third eyes

6 A man in the United States from Ohio in the 1800s, worshiped pyramids

7. A man in the United States from Ohio in the 1800s, claims magic underwear protects you from evil spirits

8. A man in the United States from Ohio in the 1800s uses his religion for rape, molestation, murder, and slavery.

9. A man in the United States from Ohio in the 1800s, claims Jesus and his followers were in Utah

10. A man in the United States from Ohio in the 1800s, changed his story 4,000 times

A man alive in modern times is running for the most powerful position in the world and follows a man from the United States from Ohio in the 1800s that is responsible for those ten things and that’s sane in peoples eyes! Any person who follows and worships a man in from the United States from Ohio in the 1800s is mentally ill.

''I'm thinking about killing Michael Moore, and I'm wondering if I could kill him myself, or if I would need to hire somebody to do it. ... No, I think I could. I think he could be looking me in the eye, you know, and I could just be choking the life out.''
Republican Glenn Beck

''You know, we all have our inner demons. I, for one — I can't speak for you, but I'm on the verge of moral collapse at any time. It can happen by the end of the show.''
Republican Glenn Beck

''I went to the movie this weekend with a gun. And surprise, surprise, I didn't kill anybody!''
Republican Glenn Beck

''When I see a 9/11 victim family on television, or whatever, I'm just like, 'Oh shut up' I'm so sick of them because they're always complaining.''
Republican Glenn Beck

''The feminist agenda is not about equal rights for women. It is about a socialist, anti-family political movement that encourages women to leave their husbands, kill their children, practice witchcraft, destroy capitalism and become lesbians.''
Republican Pat Robertson

''Do you know, where does this phrase 'separation of church and state' come from? It was not in Jefferson's letter to the Danbury Baptists. ... The exact phrase 'separation of Church and State' came out of Adolph Hitler's mouth, that's where it comes from. So the next time your liberal friends talk about the separation of Church and State, ask them why they're Nazis.''
Republican Glen Urquhart

''The only way to reduce the number of nuclear weapons is to use them.''
Republican Rush Limbaugh

''I dabbled into witchcraft -- I never joined a coven. But I did, I did... I dabbled into witchcraft. I hung around people who were doing these things. I'm not making this stuff up. I know what they told me they do... One of my first dates with a witch was on a satanic altar, and I didn't know it. I mean, there's little blood there and stuff like that. We went to a movie and then had a midnight picnic on a satanic altar.''
Republican Christine O'Donnell

''I'm telling you that this works. You know, before we all started having health care, in the olden days, our grandparents, they would bring a chicken to the doctor. They would say, 'I'll paint your house.' I mean, that's the old days of what people would do to get health care with your doctors. Doctors are very sympathetic people. I'm not backing down from that system.''
Republican Sue Lowden

You want to give the party of people with signs with watermelons, fried chicken, making zoo signs, african tribal signs, pictures with a bone through his nose, monkey signs, using both n-words, calling the president by his middle name, pro war, pro torture, birthers, pretend it's obama while shooting a gun, indoctrination at gun point, anti-education, anti-college, anti-pornography, slavery was half right, forced values, theocracy, and I want my country back to the 50s cult to be given the keys to the white house? I don’t think so!

Look at those quotes by republicans and the things Republicans stand for. Republicans are just as nutty as terrorists are. It will be anything but the GOP except Ron Paul for me for life!

I’m stuck having to choose between two parties that are both wrong and crazy but one is crazier than the other.

Over the last 40 years, the party that’s the craziest is by far the republican party.

How did it go from the party of Jefferson, Grant, Coolidge, Roosevelt, and Lincoln to the party of radical theocratic callous authoritarian megalomaniac un-educated nutcases?

Ignore Mark Driscoll because it doesnt fit with your agenda.

You think the left doesn't have any 'interesting' quotes?

I know you do. So why have an ignorant quote war?

Perhaps this desire to have a quote war shows how simple minded you are. HMMMM

Mark Driscoll is crazy too!

Ive seen the crazy quotes by the left but nothing they say is even close to the craziness of the right!

The left and the right have a crazy off we all know that the right would win in a land slide!

The words obtuse and dim-witted come to mind.

I used post 20 and post 38 to paint a picture
