Mayweather will walk Cotto down and mentally and physcially wear Cotto down.  The one handed PR overhyped product does not have the skills to go 12 rounds with Mayweather.

Now first I have to see if this fight is 8oz  or 10 oz gloves, but regardless I'm still leaning Mayweather by stoppage.

Cotto does not react well to counter shots and his face doesn't hold up o them.  His skin is busted up EVERY fight.  Mayweather will systemically land his counter rights flush over and over again and i expect him to get cut and swolen by mid round.  Then I expcet Mayweather to walk him down and punish a Cotto who does not know how to fight going backwards.  Cotto has terrible stamina and can';t fight off his back foot.  A flawed fighter.

Floyd has an insane reach advantage over Cotto, meaning Cotto will have to stalk like the Cotto of old, as we know that Floyd will likely stand his ground, actually.

Do people see Mayweather continuing with the standing more straight-on going punch for punch like he’s been doing of late, or moving a little more?

Floyd will stand right there toe to toe and walk Cotto down.  Cotto can't fight going back and will gas quick.  Cotto is getting stopped.

Cotto still has what it takes to beat Fraud Mayweather. NO QUESTION!   He's a very powerful and accurate puncher  just like Sergio Martinez who could beat Fraud too. Cotto's  left hook is considered lethal..and  he moves well in the ring and can break through a tough defense.

The fight with Fraud will be a see-saw battle.  Not necessarily a chess match..  Cotto will circle Fraud..stalking him like a TIGER, picking  his punches, and Fraud will  back away trying to counter with Fraud possibly landing more, but Cotto landing HARDER punches..this could be IT for Fraud...!!!

COtto is a one handed fighter who can't fight going backwards, has no stamina, busts up quickly, avg hand speed, no defense at all, short arms....

Cotto isn't going to box Floyd, if he even attempts too he will utterely embarassed.  Floyd will take away his left hook and Cotto will look have nothing.  NOTHING.  An easy FIGHT!

HE BETTER BEAT COTTO, OR HE WILL BE MORE SCARED TO FIGHT PACMAN. REMEMBER PACMAN DESTROYS COTTO WHEN HE WAS YOUNGER.

this fight will not be very competitive, if cotto presses, he will be picked apart, if he tries to box, forget about it, when cotto moves he does so a lot of times in a position in which he is unable to counter, if I see this so does floyd and that is why I believe floyd will press the fight( or at least stand his ground)  and take advantage, I see a tko for mayweather during the later rounds, look for floyd's jab to the body to be a big weapon in this one.

I agree Jersey........You wanna see a blueprint of what's going to happen in this fight, look at the Mayweather vs. Gatti fight.  Not trying to disrespect, I loved Gatti.  He was awesome to watch, had great heart, and great hands........RIP Arturro Gatti.........But seriously, this is exactly how I see Floyd vs. a pure puncher.  Cotto has more boxing ability than Gatti, but Cotto's chin and heart "under duress" is nothing like Gattis.  therefore, Cotto will be lucky to make it to the final bell.  Once Floyds style absolutely frustrates Cotto, and the power comes off his punches, Floyd will open up a bit, and quite possibly finish Cotto inside the distance.  Therefore, I am staying away from Floyd by Decision, and will go FLOYD TO WIN for 16.5% R.O.I., on however much I feel like fuking winning on May 5th.  I'll put my yield for that day against any motherfuker on Wall Street....PERIOD...

soulpurpose........i've noticed that I'm always on the same side as ALL of your posts that I've read, so I'm gonna say you're the smartest cat on here. lol.  Good Luck ALL.....

you make some valid points ,however by refering to mayweather as fraud it indicates you are floyd hater more than an actual boxing fan- floyd is the play- just have to hope we can get a decent price somewhere

The fight is over 147 which clearly states a minimum of 10oz gloves. So you can take that out of your analysis and know that at least 10oz gloves will be used.

Knowing the rules is very fundamental in doing an analysis for any event wager. I'm not intending this toward you Jersey, it is just a basic thing that is overlooked so often. More than not, it is the basic simple things that allow us to win or lose, not the super in-depth, or for poker the super plays... plugging leaks in each part of our game strengthens are foundation.

wrong.  In Nevada 8 oz gloves can be used if both parties agree @ 154.  You're owned.

its an obcure ammendment incorporated a few years back that to my knowledge has never been utilized. pbf fought hatton with 10ounce gloves for the147 belt so anything is possible if both sides agree.

pbf and cotto will be with ten ounce gloves because pbf wants it that way. larger gloves reduces the element of luck for the lesser-skilled fighter(cotto).

Jersey... NSAC will not allow any governing bodies to allow 8oz at over 147lbs. Don't just say I'm owned, download the NSAC rules & regulations and each governing bodies, and find any regulation allowing this.
I know what will happen, you will ask me to do it for you because you won't find any or know how to... but let's bet (giving you 10-1) odds they will use over 8oz size gloves.

It is for WBA Super World light middleweight title, so let us use their rules... sounds fair.

RULES OF WORLD BOXING ASSOCIATION
Rule 26. Gloves. The weight of the gloves to be used in world championship bouts shall be as follows:
a. From Super Welterweight up to and including Heavyweight: ten (10) ounces.
b. From Minimum up to and including Welterweight: eight (8) ounce gloves.
If the bout contract does not identify the brand of gloves to be used, the brand shall be determined by the Local Commission.

WHO GOT OWNED? ALSO, YOU ARE THE COPYCAT KING. YOU MADE A NEARLY IDENTICAL ANALYSIS 5 HOURS LATER.

Jerseyboy89: I made a previous post, but no offense it's almost a carbon copy. I have to ask you, did you use my post and agree? or was it just a rare co-incidence that 4 basic points were the same?

I think Dawson is to young and athletic (and fundamentally good) and will be to busy for B-Hop. Similar to B-hop vs Taylor except that Dawson is a much better fighter and has good stamina, Hopkins is a pound-for-pound great and already a legend, but this fight I say Dawson wins around 8 or 9 rounds to win a decision.
Original Link (Where the COPYCAT started)

1.last time he face someone as fast and athletic was taylor
(mine:Similar to B-hop vs Taylor except that Dawson is a much better fighter)
2.dawson is twice the fighter taylor was
(mine: Similar to B-hop vs Taylor except that Dawson is a much better fighter)
3.dawson has a high punch output
(mine:I think Dawson is to young and athletic (and fundamentally good) and will be to busy for B-Hop)
4.i see this an easy 8-4 for dawson
(mine: Dawson wins around 8 or 9 rounds to win a decision)

Qncyk1: Although you might say I didn't not make a selection regarding this fight (B-Hop vs Dawson), I feel I made a clear cut wager!
More to the point is the belief JerseyBoy89 is not disillusioned...

Kneeguel Cotto will quit again vs Margarito
you heard it here first, once a quitter always a quitter.  Margarito will maul him and make mexico proud.

LOL: This guy is a clown. Proud of a cheater who can't win without Plaster. He is a disgrace to any athlete, fighter and more so the great Mexican Boxing Tradition. Not even man enough to say, Yes I cheated, I'm sorry.
Yet, JerseyBoy89 made such a bold statement, got plenty of replies... and somehow never returned to that thread... I wonder why??

Qncyk1:: Agreed that the better boxer wants bigger glove to allow for less luck and also less chance for a stoppage from cut or swelling.
Lennox wished he had 40oz gloves against Rahman in the first fight.
