Of course you can eat fried chicken.  It's real food.

Compare that to a McDonald's hamburger and is night and day better.  There is not even any food in those hamburgers.  Chicken is freaking chicken.  When it's fried, the moisture in the chicken pushes out the grease and hardly any gets absorbed into the meat if worried about grease/oil..... which is not even bad for you by the way.

Just don't eat the biscuits because is flour and lard.

Don't go nuts on the wings cuz don't want to overload with skin fat because there is a good bit of fat in a dozen wings but nothing wrong at all with eating the larger pieces.

What is garbaged up are a lot of the "sides" tho...... especially the cole slaw.

For the "side"...... get a jalapeno.

Almost 20 days in, I have drank some, but only straight patron silver-no carbs. Tequila, vodka, and whiskey- *all have no carbs*

Down to 185, which was the high end of my target weight range. Actually weighed in at 182.3 Friday night, but that was right after bball, down some water weight. Started on the 7th of Feb, and think I'm going to stay with it until about the 9th of March, as I'm traveling to see my old man, and am sure we'll put a few back. I do plan to keep on drinking the three things mentioned above, and STRAIGHT, no garbage from the mixes, and occasionally some beers.

Fried, how did everything go with your ol' man?

How do you acct for the calories then? Fat? Protein?

Calories from hard alcohol are just like calories from raw sugar. But wtf........if you're doing everything else right there's nothing wrong with a few stiff shots now & then...........still gotta enjoy life.

From what I understand, the calories come from the alcohol itself.

I also came across this article, that is pretty interesting.

Pretty sure alcohol is as bad as sugar.

But that's why eat well....... so can enjoy cocktails

alcohol has 7 calories per gram
fat 9 per
protein 4 per
carbs 4 per

pure alcohol like vodka, tequilla, gin, has no carbs squinta, you are correct
beer unfortunately, is another story

keep up the good work

if a person could avoid the "whites" he would be much better off
1. "white bread "
2. "white potatoes"
3 "white sugar"
basically flour, sugar and potatoes. its true avoid these 3 things and weight loss will occur

To the Ortho tomorrow for my shoulder. Was popping and going right back in, then started to pop out, but not go right back in. Woke up the other morning with it popped out, figured if it's bad enough to happen in my sleep. that's when its time to see a Dr. Saw the nurse practitioner Mon, and she immediately mentioned the knife ..... prob MRI tomorrow.......

On the bright side, my employer has been telling me for 2 years they want to move me into sales. Talked to him today and told him the situation, he said well looks like your going into sales finally

Maybe its for the better....career-wise

i hope so brother, that would be a nice outcome in the long run, your shoulder can be repaired but if you get into sales you may make more and injure yourself less... keep me posted
