but congratulations to getty and the jacksonville jaguars. after 17 or so years, they finally drafted their first good wide receiver. i think he'll be better than chris doering.
newman is going to be such a liability for cinci this year
gonna be interesting to see what schiano does and if freeman progresses at all
jaguars are fucked either way because gabbert sucks. I do think Blackmon is going to be awesome tho

I was freaking out when they signed The Cowboys' 3rd string receiver and Old Man Evans. I figured they thought they'd solved their receiver woes.
Stealing Blackmon from Jeff Fisher and The Rams who were already fitting him in his jersey when the Bucs caved in, was classic. First time in a decade I've been proud of this organization.
However, like Jersey said, it's now or never for Blaine Gabbert. You just can't suck that badly again and get another free pass.

check out post #3. I could not believe they gave Laurent that much money. He was good when he was getting covered by #3 string cornerbacks and linebackers. But $35 million? Jeeeeeez the Jags must really like him.
Is that offensive line not a problem for the Jags at all? I remember the game at Atlanta last year when Gabbert was either running for his life or had 1 second to throw the ball before he got his head got taken off. I love Blackmon...but still a little surprised they didn't focus on any other positions so far in free agency. Still 6 rounds of draft left obviously so I am sure they will get something they need.

seattle's pick was
thought new england did well
a funny little write-up about Irvin.....
Bruce Irvin stood in a drug dealer's house, his gun tucked away, searching for money. It never occurred to him that this might not be the best idea; that somebody might be home, that he might even get shot. In his mind he thought only one thing: "I'm going to get paid."
This is what Irvin's life had come to since dropping out of high school, when things started to go wrong and his mother threw him out of her home. By the end of the night he would be in jail, and it appeared likely he would be headed there again, or prison or something worse.
