this, had the same thing, should still barks from time to time a couple years later about, but surgeon did mri which revealed tendonitis in rc and biceps tendon. i took 4 months off lifting which i wish i didnt do. went to see pt, he told me to take it easy, its just muscles after spending an hour with me and doing different tests. got more answers from him in that hour than i did in 3 dr visits and an mri which was a girl because the dye they put in your shoulder is awful as well as laying in the chlostorphobic chamber. plus it costs a good amount of $ even if you have full insurance like i do.
still notice some pain when i bench or do push ups, so i try to do them sparingly but i am stronger now than before and kind of just deal with it. shoulders tend to get better if they are going to on their own anyway, so surgery is not always the fix people are looking for.
shoulders and knees, never the same after surgery a couple drs told me. rest, rehab, rest, and start slowly back into things.
